Just a small question, for consoles what do you push to “activate” SMART? I was thinking maybe R3/sticks (usually sprinting) or one of the back bumpers/triggers. Dont really think much about it on the PC because they dont really have game exclusive buttons replacing the standards.
LOL who added tag “meanwhile in romania” xDDDDDDDDD
back to topic, i bought xbox360 hour ago, my very first console, so brink controls… ehm. so many buttons. that thing console players hold in hand will vibrate in brink too? i played one game to test how game looks on console, terrible aiming moving and vibrations… i found it not confortable
They said that you can override doing the SMART movement in every aspect situation. Were in scaling a wall you can hold shift, it will run you to the wall, then you will begin to scale it. Where manually you will sprint at the wall and before hitting it jump and you with grapple the wall. Manually will go a little bit faster as a reward.
Since we continue this anyway,
what is the default layout for BRINK on the keyboard / mouse?
And don’t tell me they haven’t announced THAT one yet or I’ll break something
Greetings :D
The smart thing to do, would be to have multiple default profiles like sc2.
So you can have one which is intuitive, that puts the nade key on a mouse button.
On your typical COD profile, you have it on the G key next to the movement keys, because cod players wont bother trying to dodge bullets while priming a nade.
I know they said that SMART isn’t a canned animation you can’t get out of, i’ve been following this game for over a year now
But I don’t know how 1 button can have two functions at the same time that should not interfere with each other. How would it know I DON’T want to perform a SMART move, but just sprint?
You are saying it will be something like:
<Hold shift> You sprint to the wall (smart is stand-by).
<Press spacebar> You jump before you reach the wall, smart will not be engaged and you will grabble the wall.
<Don’t press spacebar> You have reached the wall, and smart will help you over it.
I usually don’t let go of the sprint button when I jump.
I was wondering if it would go into SMART mode then or still manual if it’s the same button.
Suppose for example this:
There is a fence I can slide under or jump over.
I want to jump over.
I sprint to the fence with my sprint key while looking down, but I do NOT want SMART to slide me under.
How would SMART not slide me under if it’s the same key?
