What is the first version of ET?

Is it version 1.0?

I tried to google for a version 1.0, but it isn’t found, so that got me thinking.

The latest RTCW patch is 1.4 right? So maybe Wolf ET game versions start with a 2, so examples might be 2.55, or 2.60.

So is Wolf ET actually version 2.0 of RTCW MP?

If not, what is the earliest version of Wolf ET?

Also who here considers ET as an expansion to RTCW, and who here considers ET as a separate game all on its own, with no ties to RTCW other than graphics?

earliest public version was fuel dump demo, then 2.55, 2.56. 2.60 (w/ help from bani & co) and 2.60b

here’s the story

Not sure but aren’t there two version numbers for the earlier versions?
Like:
Version 1.0 = 2.55

I believe the 2.55 version is the most played aswell?

Because games come with 2.55 as default and people are lazy to patch to 2.6b!

I had to tell all our members and regulars to update there W:ET to 2.6b and we are still doing same! From my point of view as server admin, 2.6b players are much better and 2.55 is all about SL rating. At least 50-70% Euro players play for rating.

Player get busted for cheat - Complains ‘OMG I will loose rating’ please unban me.

In BC2 u can’t play old versions and u got to update to new version if you are planning to play online! Sadly that’s not the case! I would be really happy if Brink will have auto update to new versions like in BC2.

AFAIK there are 2 server versions for 2.55 but only one client for 2.55. I could be wrong though or I misunderstood your post.

I believe the intial patch from 2.55 - 2.56 was called 1.02
