It looks like a zip that can enable the wearer of the pants to either stop and go for a sh1t whenever he pleases, or just get his ass out to show people with ease.
Maybe in the future they thought that we would come to a point that clothes manufactures would evolve and make pants that you dont haveto have the inconvenience of pulling down to go for a no.2 [like a zipper on jeanes/suit]
