What is everyone complaining about?

i didn’t mean the bindings or key layout (although the default one is atrocious). what i was really referencing is the fact that whenever you bring up the objective wheel it hijacks your screen and makes you face magnetic north. another good one to try is scavenging an enemy or disguising as them when you’re just at the edge of the interact prompt. in this case what happens is the games interact acceleration tries to make you catch up with a stationary object (corpse) and you move past it and end up not interacting at all. the same exact thing happens when you try to heal/buff a teammate who is moving towards you.

Sounds good, I’m sure that would help the lag until they iron it out too! Seeing as it’s 5vs5 right?

I myself am tired of all the negativity towards games lately. I don’t care about cynicism, I don’t care about who is casual or hardcore, I don’t care about bugs unless they make a game 100% unplayable, I don’t care if a game is ‘derivative’ as long as it’s fun. In many multiplayer games, I get nothing but frustration and anger, especially when I am sucking. In Brink, I get nothing but fun even IF I get killed alot; doesn’t that say something about Brink? That it doesn’t induce maddening anger in me?!

Okay okay, I understand the criticism towards Brink; everyone has a right to their opinion, and that’s cool, I respect that. As long as no one calls someone an idiot for liking Brink, then I am fine, because that’s like an argument about musical taste or ‘taste’ in general on YouTube or something. But when I like a game and someone says it sucks, it ruins the game, because the negativity and criticism LINGERS in my mind; the game’s problems don’t bother me so bad, I am enduring the performance problems, yet the criticism I hear hurts the game for me. The game ITSELF isn’t bad to me, it’s the negativity directed at the game that is bad; this applies to many other games I play that are ‘downtrodden’ that I enjoy.

Otherwise, it is up to you to decide if Brink is good or not; don’t trust critics, don’t trust reviewers, just bet your money on if a game will be a good or not. If it’s a waste, then fine, there’s no use crying over spilled milk. We move on, and we find ‘better’ games that we like; I suppose we can call that the ‘viscous cycle of gaming’. Especially in this day of rapidly rising cynicism and conspiracy theories that game developers BRIBE reviewers to give their game a good review.

Anyway, good luck to everyone with their problems in Brink, and I hope that some of you can still enjoy it!

I agree, this game is a breath of fresh air and some of the most fun ive had in years with an online shooter.

If people want to let ‘pro’ reviewers tell them what games are good and bad like some kind of sheep then so be it, but to me and many others this game is tons of fun and alot better then most other games in this genre.

Do people honesly never try games that get 7/10? Some of the best games ever imo have gotten average reviews.
