What happened to this game??

(Nail) #61

some people act like Splash Damage snuck into their house and shaved their dog, if $60 is that big of a life changer, maybe you should re-evaluate your priorities

:penguin:
That’s all splashdamage has to say? You released a buggy, unfinished game that died after a few weeks and all you do is respond to completly off topic posts? Your business model seems to be: take the money and run.

You should invest in PR my friend. Your reputation as a developer got below zero.
Huh??

Devs on this forum respond fairly regularly to comments on the game. I have personally had a question to a dev answered in a short period of time.

Hang out on the forums. Enjoy the good folk here. Splash Damage are working hard to support their game. But they aren’t in charge of PR … Bethesda is…

I’ve had personal questions answered in a short period of time as well from devs.

atleast you can help people in reporting posts/people instead of giving out useful information about outstanding issues with the game, or the DLC which was promised ‘before july’ then ‘early july’ and now…

(nephandys) #65

And now…it’s still early July. I know it’s a nebulous term, but it can technically mean anything before what half way through 7/15/11. I’m not trying to argue semantics or stick up for SD I am just pointing out that early July can mean something different to different people.

As far as them providing more info on the DLC, the hold up has nothing to do with SD at this point. Are they supposed to repeat that it’s still going through the MS certification process? We already know that’s what we’re waiting on and when it’s done they will announce a date. Until then there’s nothing for them to say that we don’t already know.

SD has probably learned a lesson from stating the June release date in the first place. Personally, if I was them I would be holding my cards much closer to my chest as all the release dates and info put out so far has done is increase the whining and sense of entitlement of players especially when it comes to DLC. Even if they had the SDK ready to go tomorrow I wouldn’t announce it because if it took 1 day longer everyone would be like, “F**k SD. Where’s my SDK?”

(sereNADE) #66

My understanding is mod tools are either provided at launch or months later. Still got a couple to a few more months before I would start thinking about it in BRINK’s case. Looking forward to looking forward to it

SD never stated it was gonna be a June release date. That was from some guy hired by Bethesda to write in their blogs.

As someone who regularly facepalms himself reading my marketing dept’s press releases, I would guess SD had not much to do with that “June release” thing.

(wolfnemesis75) #68

Early would’ve been DLC released by day 7 of July (early in a month is first week by my reckon)…

just saying.

I agree here.

They may have missed the boat with the first week of July either due to marketing not being ready (Bethesda’s fault) or the DLC pass failed either MS or Sony’s review.

It’ll be here soon enough.

(dabis) #70

The way I see it, early is in the first 10, middle 10-20, and end of the month can be the rest of the days. Although that still doesn’t leave much time for an “early July” release to me. XD

Either way I don’t think their will be anything but apprehension on either of their parts about handing out any kind of release window in the future.

(ED209) #72

DLC had better be impressive. I am hoping it can reboot the PC community interest.

(pinion120) #73

I am currently waiting for the DLC to start playing actively again. I love Brink but am just taking a break because I know it will be so much better when DLC hits. I’m guessing there are many others like me out there.

Also, where’s the freaking PC stats page?

(sereNADE) #74

The bright side is that DLC will have more attention and possibly attract more players having missed coinciding with the steam summer sale. Hopefully some people will have picked up BRINK at its sale price the other day.

(neg) #75

while this would be nice, we all know in reality it wont happen… the reviews from word of mouth will be enough to steer most players away from the game
let me tell you what happened to the game.

people like this.

trolls i might add, that want to discombobulate and demoralize the brink community.

I don’t see any trolls, i only see a broken game and deceived, robbed and ignored customers that come here to make sd hear their voice. Voice that 's always ignored.

sd release SDK.

(kilL_888) #77

that might in fact be true. you know, there is the ignore function in this forum.

maybe it was just too much for the splash damage staff to read your nonsene over and over again.

no. they dont ignore you actually. what about your recent topic that got closed pretty fast?

see. they dont ignore you. they close your nonsene. think about it.
