What Goodies can we expect in Enemy Territory?

This is a question to Splash Damage, but i’m sure my other Wolf folks wouldn’t mind getting some more info on this game. Now we all know it’s now an expansion type pack for RTCW instead of a stand alone game, which ain’t a bad thing. And we got our speculations on what will and what won’t be included.

So what i myself as well as others are wondering is too what exactly is being planned for Enemy Territory? Like any certain types of maps, or gametypes, or any other specials? Any details whatsoever? I myself would love too see some bots, which got me intersted in Enemy Territory, and woulda got my purchase even if it was full price. Can you possibly indulge us as too why ET was cancelled? If not, i’m sure you had your reasons, i mean making a game ain’t an easy task.

Well anywho, if you guys could maybe give us a heads up on Enemy Territory in general, we’d all very greatly appreciate it, thank you and we wish you the best of luck on ET, and you got all of our full support, thank you.

According to the press release, the SinglePlayer game wasn’t developing as planned/wanted

The Multiplayer part was right on schedule, of course!

Some not-entirely-random factoids about ET, of which at least four are actually true:

Players can now fight over a series of linked missions in Campaign mode.

Players gain skills and experience based on their performance, and are awarded with additional abilities as they progress through each campaign.

We have a new character class; the Covert Ops, who can steal uniforms and perform reconnaisance.

The Engineer has been enhanced and can now build structures to help his team.

The new Cowmander class enables players to sneak in under cover of a nearby bovine to wreak havoc on the opposition by launching steaming projectiles at points of interest in enemy fortifications :moo:

If you want to keep up with the latest information on ET, your best bet is to check our news page regularly, and visit the ET sub-section on Activision’s Wolfenstein site: http://www.activision.com/games/wolfenstein/

You couldn’t sneak out a small movie of gameplay to the community, could you? I suppose the contract between SD and Activision gives Activision exclusive control over the timing and manner of ET’s marketing, even if it now is to be a free add-on, and so the answer will probably be ‘no’. I had to ask anyhow:)

Wow, a cowmander class. I also hope that you guys will be able to squeeze in the penguin-medic.
