I know that we’re in closed beta etc etc but if you implement this feature it will allow players to practice on their own and get better by themselves - a key feature in making a game competitive.
What Every Competitive Game Needs: Offline Mode with Bots
Lol, well I’m actually NOT asking for a single player game, just an offline mode with bots.
I don’t want them to waste time making AIs.
allow you to explore the maps while offline if you want, fuck bots though.

Exactly. The ability to load up a map and go test out movement paths on the map would be nice. Bots aren’t really needed for a game like this. Bots made Brink kind of a mess (along with the choke point infested maps).
I hope they implement some proper private match support though, not this join an empty server or vip server crap.
Is this the only way? As in joining a server with 0/16 people and hope no one joins? If it is, that’s not good enough. Need an offline option, and I don’t think that’s a lot to ask for. Bots however, that’s a lot of dev time I don’t think SD has.
That’s definitely an idea that should be worked on later in the game developpement. I totally approve.
what is ET:QW & Brink?

implying they would start from scratch.

they can just reuse the stuff they did before. the bots don’t even have to be good or exceptionally clever, the option alone would be enough.
Offline mode with bots wouldn’t grant currency or loadout drops would it?
Of course it wouldn’t… At least I guess it would be how Splash Damage would design it. There’s a singleplayer with bots function in Team Fortress 2, but if you’re only playing with bots you don’t drop anything from the drop system. I guess it would be made the same way here.
