Fullscreen Window Mode
What do you want to see in Dirty Bomb?
More of a personal preference more than anything. On some systems it helps with alt tabbing issues as well. For me personally, I just like it.
you realize that the function i mentioned that you edited out is default on every single Unreal Engine 3 game, right? Itās not breaking the NDA if every game programmed in UE3 has it.
Loving the game so far, but I have a big one:
Remove K/D and all display of kill counts.
I know, I know. I can already hear the āwell your kdr probably suxx0r lulz getgood n00bā. But hear me out. Iāve been playing team based games for over 15 years now, and from what Iāve seen this would absolutely improve game play and fun for everyone.
Kill count has been the BANE of team play in any modern shooter. So many people will just try to improve their stats and completely ignore the objective, or at the very least not prioritize playing the objective over achieving kills properly. Alternatively, maybe give a really strong incentive to actually winning the round, like giving XP only to the winning team or something like that. (Just an idea, this would probably bring a whole host of different problems)

I disagree with removing KDR magically making people be a team player. People are going to play how they want to play.
I would still frag hard and play the way I want to play. No kdr on the scoreboard would not change a thing.
It wonāt be a magical solution to all problems, thatās for sure. No one is saying that it will make people magically be team players.
But it would certainly help. Any step away from individual artificial inflation of stats at the cost of teamplay and towards tactical team oriented gameplay is a step in the right direction.
Sure, people will always play the way they want. And that is a good thing. But ignoring the objective of the round for egoistical bragging rights should not be rewarded by the game in the form of prominently displayed stats that say little to nothing about a players worth towards the team effort.
I really want more maps of course and more objective game modes with creative objectives please.
k/d records is part of the Dirty Bomb CBT game, you have broken the NDA. topic closed, reported to Splash Damage, enjoy your banned.
Pogoogers is correct, please confine discussions about beta content to the beta forums: http://forums.nexon.net/forumdisplay.php?281-Load-Test-Feedback
This topic is for a wish list without mentioning what is or isnāt in the game at the moment.
The game needs a different sensitivity setting for hipfire shooting and ADS shooting. When Iām playing the game Iām actually finding it harder to aim while ADS since it feels like the sensitivity is too high. However when I adjust to a comfortable sensitivity setting for ADS, hipfire tracking becomes too slow.
i want it to be mixed with brink 2 or something like that(put optional objectives or/and some freerun(parkour) elements)
P.S. when i see freerun [sorry for the advertisement] like in warframe my saliva runs like a waterfall
I like FPS games with:
- Frequent media / social presence from the devs, i.e. twitter, youtube reveals, etc
- Damage number indicators to see how much damage iām dealing to a target whilst in combat instead of guessing.
- Fluid movement mechanics which includes good player collisions and accurate environment interaction.
- Achievement system and in-depth statistics. Ability to quickly compare your stats with your opponent or teammates stats or be able to see which areas the player needs to improve on. i.e. accuracy.
- Logical player and environment interaction. i.e. if thereās a box or a shrub or any object in the map which is about half the height of the player model, that player should be able to jump/climb on top of it.
- Dislike FPS games that make you wait in a lobby or in a cutscene or in a āwaiting to start, counting downā¦ā state for longer than necessary. Especially if the āwaitingā times feel like they are almost as long as the actual round itself. Prefer games that keep you in the action and allow you to quickly get back into the action after the round has finished.
- AOE attacks which arenāt instant-kill.
- Logical iron sights, i.e. they must reduce weapon spread or zoom significantly as opposed to hip-fire, otherwise why bother with them. This is especially important on pistols.
- Burst/grouped fire benefits with recoil on all weapons, donāt like guns in games where you can just hold down the trigger and get perfect accuracy throughout the duration of the gunfire.
- Ability to host your own servers.
Note: I donāt have the game, but looking forward to trying it out.

Totally agree about burst-fire accuracy bonus, and dedicated servers. These two could easily make-or-break a first person shooter for a lot of players.
Also definitely agree with the social presence bit. Unlike most people who probably play this game, Iāve mainly come to this game from playing APB Reloaded and one of the worst aspects of that game is the lack of communication between developers and the playerbase. Itād be an awesome breath of fresh air to see some direct communication or even something as simple as somewhat-active forum posts from the directors.
Personally though, Iād prefer iron sights to only give a zoom-in bonus, as one of the greatest aspects of Dirty Bomb is how fast-paced it is compared to most modern free-to-play shooters. The less vital ironsights are to combat, the more skill dependent gameplay will be and the more fun overall itāll stay.
No pay to win please. Nothing like extra damage, better guns dealing more damage etcā¦ keep it balances and fair so that only skill and teamwork determines who is better not the items you purchase this especially goes for competitive play.
Pogoogers:
It will please you to know the devs are constantly in the forums, on IRC and play every Friday
