Dear devs, if you happen to read this,

  • First of all i’d like you to hire back the BRINK designers. The Extraction maps were so far one rare thing i really love in this game, but the characters are just too lambda, grey/green shade, no charism. We can’t guess their personnality by looking at them… i mean, not even the will of victory! Sure BRINK had lambda face expressions, but they looked after victory, by any means. Their faces wanted to fight. In Extraction they just look like “hi, i’m class #1, i lost my family and spent months in a ward. I want to go home”. The realistic face/bodies don’t help this impression, really. BRINK had the Comic bonus look. Look at Team Fortress 2 : you can tell by their look what country/region they’re from, and sometimes more details about their life just by hearing their quotes & accents. And guess what, TF2 is also team based, omagad! The overall esthetic is entertaining (and optimised)!
    So to be clear, i don’t want such customization settings as BRINK, but just that the characters preset looks like they are actually people fighting for something, with noticeable differences (not just sexe, helmet & pouches), handsome design, and maybe a bit of cartoony-like taste.

  • Secondly, i don’t know about other beta testers, but i had that terrible feeling of using the weapons of BRINK in Extraction beta. The weapons/shoot feelings were the worst thing about BRINK in my opinion, and it doesn’t look like your next game is helping it. What i do want is to increase accuracy in the weapons so we don’t see the cursor spreading like the moon all the time. I play TF2, Counter-Strike and Arma, and i must say it’s a pain to see there is no “single shot” or “burst shot” mode on weapons as everybody is firing like YOLO. The adrenaline in a FPS is based on weapons feedback (and last seconds objectiv of course), if you fail at the source of the gameplay, why would i want to go any further to see your so wonderful objectives? I play BRINK as medic all the time!! Why?? Because the shooting sucks! So i spent my time sliding around, healing fellows and that’s it.
    Don’t do it twice Splash, just don’t. Make the shooting a solid selling point. This game is F2P okay, but it doesn’t mean it can’t have some competitive feeling instead of casu-ironsight-usual ****. Most of the time, the game is playing like quake 3 arena, it takes ages to take someone down, unless you go straight to him. And i saw you have good headshot feeling in Extraction, but the game is just not engaging head-to-head confrontation, people aim at the body all the time. So maybe, you should make the body way less significant in order to force people to develop some headshot skills (which players used to have on WlfET). It would bring even more tension in the gameplay, add some strategy aspect, and calm the **** down that circus.

  • About the classes, i don’t have much to say, it works, but i really enjoyed the BRINK close-buff system. In Extraction you drop stuff, expecting people to take it, but in BRINK you were responsible for your mates buff, because you actually had to meet them really close to apply the buff, and i loved that! So perhaps you could either change it, or give the player the choice of the 2 different buffs approach gameplay?

  • Another thing is to make maps for 8v8 players, no less. Less players is less action, is more boring, is byebye. 6v6 is good for competition though, like for clans. But in order to keep players flowing, it may be better to concentrate them on less servers, but with larger capacity, where they wont feel bored.

  • Even though i’m european and play on EU server, and my ping is 26, i can feel lag sometime. Is that because of the game ressources or miscalculation of the ping?

Apart form all that, it felt ok. I love the maps, the objectives mecanisms, the sound quality and weapons noises. The Engine is pretty cool. But the game need some more identity and technical gameplay improvements in order to make it funny and out of the bucket. The last thing i want is to see you fail another time (still BRINK was a success to me, but the communication around failed it). I didn’t enjoyed it as much as i expected. I came in october and it was plenty (in the beginning) or players, but really messy. And today, there is almost nobody at all in servers. This either means you’re good to go for a rerereboot or that people felt it was too much like BRINK but minus SMART system and customization, the good stuff actually…

I just want a game like RTCW and Enemy territory with a Pro mode. Where you can hear a goat when you’re kniffed :smiley: . With flag to capture,with command posts to build.
why there is only five classes? Where is the covert ops with Sniper, Satchel and fog grenade. Where is the Riffle.

Please can you forget the **** like iron sight.

We don’t need vehicule like ET quakewar. Maybe tank like ET was good because people who played in old game like RTCW and ET just want to have fast frag, tactical war with crossfire and teamplay. The best game is a simple game with only skill, teamplay reflex and trickjump .
I remember my old game in clanbase …Damm i’m so sad about the death of this website and the clanbase’s community, but i had past so long time to play a nice game and i will never forget the final stage of a lot of nation cup or Eurocup with Dsky, Dignital, u96d and more…

Give us the chance to relive the same events on a new game. And maybe if you use a big label like WOLFENSTEIN with the same atmosphere, you can revive a big community of player who are waiting the heir of RTCW or Enemy Territory

We just want a game that we can play as long as RTCW and Enemy territory (about 10 years / 04/30/2003 to 2013 for me)

I want to think of this game like a rework of Wolfenstein: enemy territory. So the class system has to be there. Just grafical updates for guns( which can be left out imho).
Have all the classes serve a purpose in this game like they did in ET and i hope they don’t go overboard on the amount of classes the implement.
and i hope it’s as fast paced as ET and that there is no leveling system outside the maps so and predeterment guns that go with the classes, but i think that’s in the game already\

and i hope that the normal (hip fire) aim will be a s accurate as the iron sight. this makes for a much faster gameplay and people that want to aim down sight can still choose to do so but if won’t affect the spray fot he bullets and it won’t make you more accurate then normal. i was a big fan of this in ET. and it was one of the things that made this game faster then other games

Because RTCW and ET are diying. Dude have you seen the decrease of the server with RTCW and ET.

Currently, do you know a game that can boast of having lived 10 years of glory?

Why a lot of people are searching a new RTCW and Enemy Territory. Because there isn’t substitute. If you know it you can make a game for all the people who are waiting THE NEW FPS like this. And there are a lot of people who are waiting.

I will make a comparison with another product. For example a car. A user will buy a brand. He will spend a period of use. He really has good time with the new car. To change the car, what it will look? the same brand if he loved the product. But it will take a product with new options.
Now if the new options are not good. he’ll go see something else. Or he will wait until the manufacturer back to fundamentals.

The comparison is as follows. The car is like the gaming environment of RTCW. The same brand is like Enemy territory. But now if the new way of the manufacturer is like WOLFENSTEIN with bad options… The user will go away or wait the comeback of the manufacturer.

Good point there but you shouldn’t be talking of server decrease to an ETQW player. We usually have from 1 to 2 servers online per day. :wink:

If iron sights is a must and unfortunately I think we have to accept that iron sights will be as it creates an extra item for marketplace/revenue opportunity then make the shooting feel like ETQW pro-mod: high hip accuracy but if long range shooting is necessary that slight accuracy bump can be useful.

Map balance! For me the biggest problem Brink faced was each map would have a choke point that so heavily favoured the defending team that a clearly superior offense was required to have a chance at victory. Certain ETQW maps also suffered from balancing issues although ETQW’s issue was more game mechanics (e.g. ETQW demo/pre-patch 1.3[?] where the MCP could always be damaged) then map design.

If it’s possible the clan and friend management system that ETQW had would be awesome; that was seriously an awesome feature.

Asymmetrical dual attack defense maps/mode: this is a real tricky one and is one I’ve never seen done (very well) and can be approached a few different ways. For example team A may attack for objectives A B and D whilst team B attack for objective C (losing C either loses the map or makes D easier for A to attack). Another style would be having some kind of spawn limitation to balance people on attack/defense with both teams having to attack/defend objectives.

Wish the game would look more like rtcw ET instead of cod/brink. The idea with all character is nice but it feel like it will fail or become purchaseble and p2w. I prefer classes like these: Medic, Engineer, Ammoguy, Commander, Soldier. The soldier would be able to carry soldier weapons you need to pick and maybe unlock with real money to use. Every gun should be balanced even the paid.

If the ninja stays it will be banned from wars and just be a public troll thing.

Please think of a ESPORT when you work on this game…

And I want a mp with the layout from beach from RTCW. Or atleast late me make it :stuck_out_tongue:

Please increase the spray of the mounted MGs, espeacially when in iron sight (add bigger muzzle flash, too)
Delete the visible healtbar of enemies, when in combat contact. I claim it is too noobish :smiley:
I did not find a friendlist on Nexon’s Launcher, yet. They should, if not existing, implement it. It is easier to organize future scrims/cw’s and you stay easier in contact with new made friends.
