ppl that just want et with upped gfx are sad …
What do you want to see in Dirty Bomb?
why? it’s worked for CS - twice…
problem seems to be the need for ‘progression’ for progressions sake - christ knows what chess would look like if it was in the hands of money chasing publishers…dont know if i prefer Chess2.0 or Chess’13
that said, i’d only be happy if a remake of RtCW if it resulted in a lot of long term players - that doesnt seem to be the way of it these days, most games are barely getting a year of playability before the next expansion pack, dressed up as full price title, lands.
Note that there are about 1.3 times as much CS:S players than CS:GO players and again about 1.3 times more CS players than CS:S players (according to http://store.steampowered.com/stats/). It seems there are less people interested in the modernized versions of CS than in the original. I think there are a lot less players who bought CS than CS:S than CS:GO, but I can’t back that up with statistics.
Meanwhile, every Call of Duty game until recently outsold the previous (http://www.vgchartz.com/article/250163/call-of-duty-a-sales-history/) - though the cow might finally be starting to run out of milk (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/183066/Numbers_show_The_Call_of_Duty_decline_looks_real.php).
So you’re saying that a franchise which has 50k, 35k and 28k respectively (CS, S, GO) hasnt worked?
28,000 players concurrently on a paid for update of a game with only graphical changes seems, to me, to be a success. Bear in mind my main point, if plenty of people still played RTCW i wouldnt be asking for an update - probably much the same as the 50k numbers in CS who are more than happy with the game as it is (i also wonder if bots are being counted by steam…)

My point is that a reskin might have worked for CS, but that it might not work for W:ET. as successive CS games were played by less and less people. That’s only okay if you have a lot of players to start with. If DB would be played by the same amount of people that play RTCW and W:ET right now, then it would not be a popular game at all. I think the game really has to stand on its own to be able to thrive.
The reason cs:s and cs:go have less players then 1.6 is because they did change the game. Guns and movement are way different so none of the 1.6 players like the new games. Sounds a bit like RTCW/ET doesnt it?
a good protection against hack !!!
and also a lot of different weapons with different stats (low accuracy and lot of damage, good accurcy and medium damages, good accuracy lot of munitions and low damages …)
-no cheaters.
-a very good mechnics and skill base game.
-good map design.
-action pack game mode.
-alot of customization!!!
an give me a reson to be a founder (more than a alpha builde).
similar to wolf et:
no iron sights
adjustable fov
set and go plants
no ridiculous spray on normal weapons
guns that can shoot semi fast accurately
please a rifle nade equivilant (near instant explosion)
no persistant perks
dedicated servers
well balanced game that is fun for pub but has excellent competitive mechanics
hit sounds
LINUX SUPPORT FROM DAY 1
smooth high fps possible (i dont care if I have to change settings or config but brink was awefull on newish hardware: my eyes bleed with <60FPS)
do this and take all my money.
1) Class based objective based gameplay
2) Per game unlocks, no longterm unlock system (I know this will not happen)
3) Dedicated servers (This will likely not happen either, being f2p and all at most it’ll be a monopoly-rent-service)
4) Medium/big sized maps
5) Demo recording
6) Support for spectating
These Points +1
Also I dont have a problem with iron sight. It worked pretty well in ETQW.
I would add that I want a healtbar. This crap with a red screen when getting hit is crap. When you get hit you should get an indication from where you got hit, like in ETQW. Also the aout regeneration isnt real cool, go back to the med packs and ammo packs. I hope SD returns to their roots.
And of course, this time the game should be finished and all major bugs (map holes, glitches: thinking of the icarus glitch/3rd eye glitch at etqw, etc.) This time, pls release a competition mod at the beginning and/or a SDK so that some skilled ppl can make a competition mod like etqw pro mod.
A Ingame Friend and Clan System should be there and messages should be able to send to.
The same amount of players as games like : World of Tanks or League of Legends, both have a playerbase in the millions.
I like how even though the game has been confirmed to have iron sights, people keep listing “NO IRONSIGHTSZ!!”
This thread is about what they WANT to see. If someone doesn’t want ironsights, why shouldn’t they let SD know?
