Mod tool is the only way !
What do you want from Dirty Bomb web services?
The big difference is that you can use push or poll notifications. With a website that’s obviously not possible. It also prevents the players from checking the website every minute for new messages. And it shrinks down the 3G data-usage A LOT. Which automatically makes it easier for players to connect in an area with a stuttery or slow connection. And last but not least you can save data on a mobile phone so that a user can alwasy view his messages and other things even when he is offline.
This has been mentioned by a few players in this thread but I’ll just say it again anyway.
I don’t think stats like accuracy and KDR should be made publicly available as it encourages a selfish play style. It would prevent medics from concentrating on being a medic, it would prevent assault class from laying down suppression fire, etc.
You should be able to track your own stats privately and reset them if needed, just for your own information. Players change play styles and test all sorts of different things, they should not be penalized for doing so.
However, I think it would be awesome to have a clan ladder that rates clans using the Glicko2, ELO, or other similar rating systems. Clans could challenge other clans freely on an open ladder. Hosting clan tournaments would also be a great feature.
If you guys don’t plan on creating clan ladders/tournaments, please let us know early, I’m a web developer and I will be attempting to fill those gaps for the community as needed. I’d rather not invest time into it if you are going to build one into the game.

I’m not 100% sure about this but I think someone from SD said, that they are working on a ingame ladder system.

Competitive matchmaking like csgo has.[/QUOTE]
+1 I want to see this.

That works cause there’s usually always 15000 people online. I don’t see dirty bomb getting a following like CS:GO has.
Possibly, although I normally only see around 180-250 people “currently looking” for a match. I think it could work with lower numbers, but you would obviously need thousands of players to make it viable.
Facebook integration.
I want to see when a friend joins a server in the FB ticker and I want an app that shows who’s online. Then I also want to be able to join the server queue or even hang out in the lobby that is integrated in my FB browser without having to fire up the game.
Waiting lines for servers should also be included in the original game.
Does anybody know the garmin connect page?
Its build for runners, cyclist etc and gives you a nice overview of your activities. I think that the system can be used for online FPS data stuff.
For example:
You play for 3 hours, all the data gets logged and stored in the stats GUI. There you can have a closer look at your playing:
[ul]
[li] time played
[/li][li] maps played
[/li][li] kills
[/li][li] deaths
[/li][li] k/d ratio
[/li][li] win/lose
[/li][li] overall accuracy
[/li][li] accuracy of weapons
[/li][li] most used weapon
[/li][li] kills per weapon
[/li][li] class ability stats, e.g. med packs thrown/used, revives performed, ammo dropped/used etc
[/li][li] objectives completed
[/li][li] all the xp stuff
[/li][li] etc
[/li][/ul]
Those are “basic” infos, but how about some detailed stuff like:
[ul]
[li] changes of accuracy depending on hours played/changes of accuracy between different maps/stages of the map
[/li][li] compareable sessions, like I played on tuesday 2 hours and I want to see how my performance changed and how I performed 2 days later or how my performance on a map was and how I improved my performance etc
[/li][li]data from echo, places you died, places you killed some, all marked on the map, like in the one video explaining DB and echo and the influence
[/li][/ul]
I bet there is more stuff which could be interesting, but I dont know if echo is designed to do this and if this detailed data stuff is wanted by SD, but I think it would be great feature. You can a look after some games and see how you were doing, which was good and where you can improve. Would be also great for clans to see their performance during a match, where they have a weakness and where they are strong.
I would buy my access for such detailed data stuff
Is it possible to have the eco stats on the web service ?
I mean map stats, heat map, on every match ?
and yes this is needed ! But report is not he best way, just look at BF3, every frustrated player reporting everyone just because they are bad, or just because they don’t like the person in front of them.
1rst spec and admin is still the best way, but a good anticheat is welcome to !
Shifty’s stats are great but they get even better when they’re corrected against time or averaged per match.

I have a Suunto Ambit, gives you basically every useful and useless data you could wish for and displays it as numbers, graphs and on google map. Basically the real-life Eco.
I need stats for everything I do. No stats, me not even moving my pinky:wink:
I don’t know, if you guys can get to the page, but here we go:
http://www.movescount.com/moves/move15008649
You can add and remove all the stats wich are available, to, and from the graph. And if you put your cursor on the map it tells you exactly what was happening on that exact spot(how fast you were, what your puls was, if you were ascending, or descening, etc, etc)
yeah the garmin stuff is almost the same.
OT:
Your cycling in munich? I’m cycling in the outback (Dachau)
