What do YOU think will be annoying?

(RAAAAAAAAAAGE) #41

The idea behind Brink is you play the game however you want to play the game.

Would be a bit wierd if you wanted to be a heavy operative but it was a totally useless combo.

And that’s all fine and dandy, just stay off my team.

Heavy Operatives will just be one character slot wasted.
I just think it’s a bad idea, the idea behind operatives is for them to be quick, agile and stealthy. A Roid Rager isn’t going to accomplish that too easily.

By all means, prove me wrong, but unless the disguises also grant you the movement capabilities of each body type, kindly stay off my team.

That’s how I look at it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m going to want a lot of heavies on my team, I like having 500 pounds of meat eating the bullets up for me, but I don’t want heavy operatives, it’ll just annoy me.
Well don’t let it bother you too much.

If you want heavies on your team, you will probably want a full complement of them, one of each class. The heavy operative is a counter-operative, able to spot enemy operatives in disguise and enemy mines for the friendly neighborhood heavy engineer to disarm. This operative is going to encounter many more incapped enemies to interrogate for map locations than a light operative would, which will benefit the entire team. A heavy operative can do a lot to keep the other meat shields alive, including EMP grenades to help eliminate enemy turrets.

You want four heavies on your team, and you want one of them to be an operative.

I’ve had my fair share of hilarious moments in tf2 playing a spy disguised as a heavy. Most people don’t suspect that.
In fact their medics usually start to heal you and follow you around, heh. Until you stab them in the back.

I’m not sure about how spychecking works in this game, but nothing so far says that same logic wouldnt apply here.

simple: you cant buff enemy operatives.

(Senyin) #47

For me personally:
-Sound distortion
-People who take the game (too) seriously and lost their sense of humor
-Some of the voice accents and auto-teamsays

(MF Maou) #48

All of the useless Light Operatives.

Never really though of it like that =/

Thank you :3

Explain please .-.

Playing a heavy and having this happen.

(dommafia) #51
I can see people getting annoyed at getting knocked down repeatedly, and I’m not sure the cutscenes will go down too well after the first play through, even if they are trying to match-make you in the background.

Hope there’s no delay in that process either. Could be very annoying if you have to wait for another “server” to finish the round before you can play on.
You probably know this but that’s only if you choose to play store mode.

(xMETALxMUFFINx) #52

noob tubes will be annoying for me

(BioSnark) #53

Oh, I almost forgot, “Mucho bad guys spotted!”

hope there’s independent volume control for the automated vsay stuff.

(MF Maou) #54

You must be one of them.

(obliviondoll) #55

Useless Light Operative = “zOMGninjasrcoolicanhazspeedhaxRAWR!!!” dead “NO FAIR!!!”

(3Suns) #56

Two areas of gameplay concern for me are:

 1. knockdown/stun grenades of any type,
 2. and slide knockdowns.

(trigg3r) #57

spy checking (or should we call it "operative checking?) on servers with FF turned on

(raib) #58

-Slide knockdown spam
-Molotovs
-Tryhards who spend more time trying to get kills that they think look cool (s1ck 360 noscopes to put on their SICK MONTAGE with dubstep, etc) than doing anything remotely helpful

(TG Dyabolikal) #59

Unless that said, he is backed up with a light soilder and medic then its ohh my god its a ninja clan …

(trigg3r) #60

im still trying to figure out what does being a “NINJA Operative” means. But whatever they are, they are all over the bethesda forums
