What do you think about the new crafting/dusting system?
I think this system COULD be great.
I think it’s current version screws over people with inventories i.e. me.

Complete shit. They say it was for better convenience, I guess you dont have to do all the trades up in between higher rarities, but after each recycled card you have to click the “Are you sure you want to sacrifice this card to RNGesus” which is annoying. Prices are jacked way to fcking high. 50k for a cobalt? 1/9 chance to get one you want? Yea there are kits that you can buy (wtf why u doing dat) or you can maybe (low ass chance) to get one when you level up (which takes awhile). With that 50k you could get a merc! And its not just 50k, you also need 20k fragments, which is about the equivelent of 9 BLEEPING GOLD CARDS!.

ur missing the option of :
“could be hugely better with slight adjustments and tweaks, perhaps including an integration of both the systems in some shape or form”
I only like the recycle option. That’s it…
Don’t get me started on these prices.
@defentialDriver That’s why I went with the middle ground option.
Prices in credits are a tad high in my opinion.
I find this news system to be a gimmick that’s been added to keep things fresh with the game. A little while from now, they might add different colored fragments required to upgrade to a certain rarity. I find this crafting system to be silly and kiddies play. The whole system just needs to be overhauled.
50K for a 1/9th chance at the cobalt you want. 1/18th if you want a certain skin. that’s as much as a merc. Seems crazy in my opinion. I liked the old system and the way you progressed along the cards.
Retarded. Prices are up AND you need materials now to “craft” new cards. “craft” as in more cashshop purchases
I think my only gripe is you have to make a specific choice to settle on the tier of card you want to go for.
I try a lot of different loadouts in Dirty Bomb, I never lock myself down to “The Meta”, I try my hand at Granduer Aimee, or Hochkir Nader, LMG Fragger, w/e loadout in my inventory takes my fancy at the time, and sometimes I actually discover loadouts I thought would suck, and I actually quite like.
Before I’d say to myself “Well, I have enough for a bronze, I have only got 5 Phantom cards… lets try and get a new Phantom loadout”, or equivalent. If it turned out to be a card I didn’t have, I kept it and expanded on my collection. If I did have it, I rolled it over to eventually get a try at a silver I might want instead. As I moved my cards through the ranks it was my decision to whether I wanted them or not.
Now I have to say “Can I be arsed with waiting until I can afford a Gold… or do I just buy a bunch of Silvers?”. The only way to productively expand on my loadout collection is to buy the individiual lodouts or get lucky via loot drops.
I’d begrudge it less if I could buy specific lodouts that I want in any colour, as we can already buy loadouts in bronze, and higher tier cards are just skins at the end of the day.
Even if it was a complete rip off, I wouldn’t care, I only put money in to games when I want to suport them, what I buy doesn’t really matter. If however I REALLY wanted a cobalt card of my favourite loadout, I woudn;t have to wait until I’ve gone through hundreds of hours of gameplay just to have a crack at the card I want.
I could buy the card I want outright, then carry on building up my collection of loadouts for other characters before eventually deciding on which card I wanted for them.
But heck, that’s one scrubs opinion.
Recycle and ability to craft any rarity is great, prices are basically robbery. All so the weapon kits look more viable. When you put a option to pick your favourite gun, usually the strongest gun in the game or for that character and to do that with real money people start shouting p2w, they will if it doesn’t get changed. I’m keeping my cards and I’ll sell them if they ever add trading, this basically shits on alot of the long running players.
I could get behind the idea of it, but… I can’t get behind the execution. I had to come to the forums to see how many credits I would have to spend to make a Cobalt. 25K for gold was not a good indicator. I understand that I would’ve spent 24K trading up Leads to a Gold, but I have yet to open 144 Leads in a row. Don’t feel like the “convenience” justifies the price hike.
Yeah, you can get both Shard (the blue one) and Fragment (the shiny one).

^ This.
^ That.
^ Both of the above.
The new system sucks and I’ve been stripped of millions of credits I’ve wasted on trading up for my two pages of golds. I feel really shafted tbh.
I hate the fact that people won’t craft golden or silver cards anymore unless they don’t like cobalt skin or won’t try to get them cause the prices are too high for a 1/9 chance

basically this, also i feel like the new system was introduced to make cobalts more valuable to new players which will spent 7 bucks on crafting kits to get their first cobalt faster. Secondly, why would anyone spent 25k on a gold card if he could make a cobalt with a bit more grinding? I fcking HATE the new system. Screwing veterans over in favour for cashgrabbing new players again. Way to go SD
