No, not all. But the most. Most CSGO guys I met are assholes because this isn’t CSGO and they think they can be assholes for the sake of being assholes in a free game. Because free games are worth less than $6 CSGO obviously. There are some nice guys, and some nice guys I sometimes play with play CSGO aswell, but the ratio of nice guys:assholes is sadly pretty low.

Honestly the number of assholes I’ve encountered in game have been extremely low. I come across idiots more often than assholes.
I actually got vote kicked because “I’m already Vassili and he’s showing me up”
I was practicing and doing pretty well too, while he was at 1000 points on chapel. So don’t take it too hard.

Is it strange I never had this problem? I recently changed my IGN to “The Newb Sniper”, and using a new sensitivity that results with me getting negative kdrs regularly. Never had a votekick on me even with me being on the bottom of the leaderboard pretty much every game.

I think it is a mix of a F2P and the competitive aspect of the game. With F2P games you will get a lot of kids and trolls who play because it is free. If you pay $60 for a game you are more likely to be more serious and pay more attention to your own game play/the success of your team and less about who your next a$$hole-attack victim will be.

I don’t think lvls should be hidden. That will not solve anything. Players just need to show some respect to each-other. If I see a lvl 20 or under I have an understanding that they are not going to be very good, that’s fine but if you cant see what lvl people are you are just going to get mad at every bad player because you have nothing to tell you how much experience they have. But… this is another conversation for another thread.
It will solve quite a few things.

I’ve seen one worse, a community where people are so self entitled, so selfish, and so unbelievably mindless…call anything that isn’t best in its class trash…complain about power creep all the time yet complains when something that is added doesn’t add to the power creep…it is the game I compared DB to in another thread lol
Well you’re lucky then Renpsy…I’ve had people try and kick me for playing a phantom with a brain instead of charging sword first on the first thing I see…sitting back and getting kills with my gun and evading…
We had no medic and no one wanted to play one…I was in the spawn stealthed because it was me vs the whole other team, I guess I was supposed to go 1v7 and win.
They couldn’t do anything so I guess they blamed me because I wasn’t performing heroic charges to my death with them and actually killing people with my gun while they died…so I guess they used me as a scapegoat.
I suck at sniping and haven’t really tried it…its something I save for if I need Vassili for a mission and I’m on a team that is rolling over the other…so if nothing else it’s more fair because I’m playing a handicap which will net me almost no kills lol
So maybe I just need to play Vassili more…seems it’s becoming common place to always have a lousy Vassili on ones team.

PS. I have joined half-way through a match with 0 team balance and lead my team of sub lvl 15s to victory.
@TheHel1x I did read the whole post thank you very much… BUT I don’t personally assume too much of a player when I look at levels since, at least what I’ve seen, it’s not unheard of seeing under level 10 players being better than lvl 10+ players.
… and of course, I’m level 31 and I suck balls… … well… my aim sucks balls.
Also, here’s what might happen when low level players don’t get discouraged by the level unbalance:

drawing an arbitrary line by level is stupid, as the the metric does not correlate with skill outside of a very narrow range, and even then very loosely.
I don’t know how much you are lurking here, but levels have been discussed to death, and then some. There is zero benefit to them. Levels cause nothing but grief and frustration to new players who do not know better and veterans alike. Even you demonstrate that.

I never accused you of being lazy, please don’t put words in my mouth. I simply wanted to make sure you guys had not stopped reading at the point that you quoted me on.
I am not mad at anyone. Why would you think I was? The only one being toxic here is you in outright denying that levels have any use at all when I just explained how they are and were meant to be used.
If a player leaves a match right at the start just because one team has much higher levels then fine, he can come back to DB once he has a more mature attitude about the game. Seriously, if you are over 17 (Like you are supposed to be if you are playing this game) then please for goodness sake please do not leave over lack of level balance… I mean come on, really?
I am entitled to my own opinion and I say levels are useful. Just be cause other people don’t agree doesn’t make me wrong. They are useful to me and if they are not to you then fine but don’t knock me for it. In fact I found use in something that many people could not. That make me “Stupid”? I think not.
I have respect for other players and I know other players who do as well. It is sad you and others cant because its pretty easy. And please, don’t compare video games to the war on terror or wold peace. For one that thinks hes pretty smart you sure do make the mistake of speaking before you have thought through what you are saying or you do not yet have the experience or knowledge to know that some of the things you say are either offensive or straight up wrong. I give people the benefit of the doubt until they give me a reason not to.
