What breed of players are these

(Silent-D) #1

Just wanted to share my tale of grief that happened a few nights ago.

I joined a match that was only a few minutes in, and of course my team(defending) was on the short end of the stick.

So I paid our disadvantage no mind and tried to have fun as best I could; when all of a sudden a vote to kick me appeared.
I was left speechless because of the actual reason - some guy(second to bottom score mind you) on my team said I was trolling.
Some other guy on our team called him out and asked for proof, so he changed his reasoning to “we need to kick him so a better player can join instead.”

Just for those wondering, the vote almost passed 4/5 - seriously, all of this because I am level 19(hide levels already pls SD) and I know I am not a MLG pro, but decent enough to PTFO.

This really had me concerned about the mentality(or age) of some of these players in this game. Do they really just sit there and do nothing and just hope that a high level pro falls out of the sky and carries all of their collective weight through the game? No wonder we lost, right?

Gotta hand it to the other team though their teamwork was on point! (The match only lasted for 5-6 minutes…)

Well anyways I thought this was hilarious to see and wondering if anyone else felt the same or had a similar experience.

P.s. I don’t normally post or anything, but I lurk around here for news, etc.

Everyone gets kicked at some point by kids. No need to write down a paragraph about it. It didn’t even pass. Ignore it, move along.

well, if it was a minvll10 SW server (which are the meeting spot for high skill players, at least in EU, and at least on Friday nights : P ) and you played something like a terrible vassili, i wouldnt be surprised if a vote kick came up.

Other than that, it is bizarre indeed.

Ive been kicked for being the best player on a team. Honestly it makes me laugh. I mean now they wont have a way to get easy point off of me! ahgahahahahah

This isn’t even the first time either and creating a paragraph doesn’t take much effort really.

It’s also rare to even play in a min 10 server in my region since the lobbies are either dead or full.

One game I got kicked for going afk for a few mins, I had taken the game to 4/0, when I came back I went to the game at 5/0 and won it 5/7 utterly destroying my old team, that’s why I always give the better players more time if they are afk, u never know when an important call comes in or something else.

(Yoma) #7

I tend to troll a lot with meele only Phantom/Redeye or “lay a mine under your feet and shoot it” Proxy. Till now ive seen not a single kickvote on me for this but on other occasions like when i was carrying my team… . Sometimes people… nevermind that, people are always stupid, in one or the other way, deal with it.

Regarding levels, i see plenty of high lvls (50+) playing worse than some 20-30 and not to mention some 100+ sucking the floor literally… . But keep in mind, you dont keep on getting better like you do at lower levels, at a certain level you will improve little every level (if at all). Level just shows how much time you dedicated on this game/ how long you already play it. A guy who plays this game for 1 Month active can win against an guy who plays since 6 months every now and then but is higher level.

And everyone has bad games, sometimes im surprised to have an KD of 1 at the end of the game.

PS: Naturally this is all from the killing aspect of the game, doing usefull for the obj is another story.

I had this a few days ago too, I guess because I was level 30 and couldn’t carry their sorry @$$ team they decided to blame me and tried to kick me…just said enjoy your loss and left before they could.

Made a comment about how I was near the spawn, well I was the only one alive but no, I guess I was supposed to go all Rambo and win a 1v7…

(Mc1412013) #9

Ignore it. I learned that 98% vote kicks fail anyways. I always ignore it anymore and refuse to vote if it’s not legitimately an afk only. I also mute who ever won’t shut up and stop crying about some one

(ASTOUNDINGSHELL) #10

I think matchmakign should take an average of yur woudl be “Skill level” eaahc week and use that nubmer for matchmaking the next week.

(AlphaUT) #11

Once I find out who started the vote, I will kick him. (I’m talking about when I carry a team) if my team decide not to kick him, I will just say " enjoy your loss", and then leave.

(Jostabeere) #12

Open the console. It says who started the vote.

(N8o) #13

The ingame community is one of the most toxic I have seen in a game, and I don’t really know why.
It may be the competitive nature of the game? I am not sure.

(AlphaUT) #14

@Jostabeere Thanks for the information even though I already know it.

(watsyurdeal) #15

If I can be honest, a lot of the people who play this game are some of the most self entitled, whiny, and uncoordinated people I’ve played with.

And yet here I am expecting them to pick up the other roles while I do what I’m good at, killing people.

(MTLMortis) #16

You worry way too much about what other people think.

(AnonOmis1000) #17

I had something like this happen to me. The last rotation when Vassili was free I was playing as him because I never do and wanted to try him out. I was defending on Chapel and, like a good recon player, was throwing my heart beat sensor out whenever I could in an area that would more likely mark enemies and was less likely to be found by the enemy. Sure I wasn’t doing the best, but I was the second on the team. Sure enough the guy on top of our team twice called in votes. First to “kick that useless Vassili”, which failed, and then another for the same reason, which passed. It just dumbfounded me. I understand that good merc variety is essential to doing well, and either I was the only recon or only one of two on the team (cant remember which). If someone else switched over to Vassili I would have gone with one of my other mercs since I cant expect people to think about the team instead of their KD. But I was far from useless. Kick the fucking noob Skyhammer who doesn’t know to throw down ammo packs like dolla bills at the club.

(Occult) #18

to many csgo and cod kids are in this game, the mute button is a handy tool for them.

(AnonOmis1000) #19

Just because we’ve played other games doesn’t mean we are assholes.

indeed, people forget how flamey ET servers were. Or quakewars, the amount of whine almost equaled the amount of spam in the game.
