What body type do you anticipate you will play most?

(3Suns) #41

Yes!

And yes!

(Murderous Pie) #42

the fun thing about heavys is that you become the big badass that everyone wants to kill, so you can just be like BRING IT ON and be a huge distraction!

(LyndonL) #43

 But that means you’ll die lots and impede on your K/D ratio!! </sarcasm>

I want medium since I want to have the best of both worlds. Decent manoeuvrability and decent selection of weapons/decent health.

(murka) #44

By the time heavies reach obj, i will have killed the initial wave, got the objective under control and died of boredom.
Really, you can clearly see that people who traverse the playground the most, get most kills/min, usually a good kdr and most importantly do the obj. I also don’t ant any magnets(heavies) around me. In etqw i usually get killed by spam indoors only when other ppl are there also and most of the time, they’re useless and predictable.

Just like the only people who try and justify noob armor are the ones who use it all the time.

(tokamak) #46

Aye, it will be difficult to get in the right position, but once you’re there you’re to be reckoned with.

(Tawmee) #47

Probably Light. I’ll enjoy running around the map like crazy. I’m probably going to try out all three types of course, but I can definitely see myself playing light a lot more often.

(Apoc) #48

And i shall plough down their little faces with some random assault rifle.
People will play light at the start, but the unintellegent or those unable to aim will find they die far far far too often, and change to medium or heavy.
even nubs dont like getting killed all the time.

I am not sure I am trackin’ with you.

Let me just say this. From my TF2 experience, Heavies do require skill and patience to play well. I have seen Heavies that guard the control point, take out wave after wave of enemies, and somehow manage to stay alive through it all (not hoggin’ the medic, either). The first time I saw that, my attitude towards the class changed completely. Because I get frustrated at the slow movement, I cannot play the class well. I am too impatient.

(Iur'Tae'Mont) #50

Light mostly to show off my Gamestop preorder SMG skins.

(LyndonL) #51

AFAIK you can use light weapons on medium or heavy players

I have a friend that’s gonna play light and I want to play heavy. And the idea is I’ll be the distraction while he fires from above and we’ll get real good at moving around together. And he’ll get to the objectives and cap them. But I’ll be there for fire support when things get crazy and to help hold off the horde. I wish I had more info on the FIRETEAM mode. I think it’s just like being in a squad and the other person on your fire team gets marked the same color as you instead of the regular friendly color. I wonder if there are any other additional fire team perks.

(Iur'Tae'Mont) #53

Yeah but if I’m playing on a heavy toon, I’m taking a heavy weapon. Prolly call it Sasha.

(Mad Hatter) #54

Yeah, but if you’re a Medium guy you can use an SMG as your secondary weapon. You can use an SMG for your secondary if you’re a heavy guy too, but I’m not sure if there’s any real incentive to use weapons below your weight class if you don’t have to.

As for me, I haven’t got a clue yet. I’ve got so many ideas for what I want to do that I don’t know what will be my favorite yet. Guess I’ll just have to try everything. fake exasperated sigh

Heavy Bodytypes have the health bonus, powerbar bonus and the added benefit of choosing whatever weapon they want. I would say theres a good possibility, some players who pick heavy wont be picking heavy weapons.

Its like picking lacerator instead of hyper or obliterator when playing aggressor :stroggflag:

(Iur'Tae'Mont) #56

Was thinking similarly. More along the lines of “Every other class can use a Lacerator and I hate rocket launchers so Hyperblaster all the way!”

SMG Secondary did not ever occur to me though. That’s pretty sweet.

(gunzo) #57
unintellegent
Quite awsome right there.

Apart from health, the demand for heavy weapons and higher carry capacity will ensure people pick heavy/med classes. End of story.
