What about map scripts license?

I have heavily modified the original Seawall Battery script that came with WolfET to a state that it’s a fairly different gameplay by now, ‘developing’ it on etpro and jaymod (because of the use of etpro-like map scripting extensions). I was almost ready on releasing it when the potential licensing issues arose in my head.

What license is applied to map scripts? My answer would be the WolfET one (not the WolfET SDK one) as it part of the original WolfET data. Am I right? Do I have then the right to redistribute it freely (gratitiously and openly)? What trouble could I run on/into?

Would Splash Damage sue me for releasing it?

Several ETPro scripts have been made for Fueldump, Battery, … and have actually been hailed because the changed gameplay was mostly agreeable.

I think you wont’ face troubles if the only thing you release is a modified map script.

When in doubt, ask Mortis.
