not being funny but chapel is the best map under ground close 2nd. put more servers just playing these maps . just remove dome. its bad.sorry who designed it but dome is seen as the bottom of the toilet pan.
well game just finished...lets go chapel server.
Well you know,
That just like,
Your opinion, man.
Let’s throw away all of the maps we have but those two, take away any choice and leave it at that!
On a more serious note, that’s 50 shades of no.
When community servers happen I can guarantee we’ll get a lot of 24/7 Chapel/Bridge only maps.
Dome is the best map. I’m not being sarcastic either. It has everything this game needs in a map. Plenty of jumps and being vertical. There’s a decent amount of options/routes to approach each objective (except the first, which is a shitshow.
It just still needs to be reworked a bit and optimized better. It’s a nice break from the other linear maps. It has its problems, but is just a lot better than say Chapel or Underground. Last time they reworked it, little was actually done to help it. A lot of invisible walls should be removed, open up some routes a bit more, and fix the spawns.
The last time they reworked it, they added things like the completely useless route in the attackers spawn on the first objective. If you go back and to the right, you can take a useless route to near the gate. It serves absolutely no purpose. I would much rather have seen another route added to the center of the first objective. There’s like 3 big buildings blocking a direct route to the objective. If those were opened up/jumps added to make a viable, vertical route, that would definitely be nice.
Personally, I dislike Chapel and Underground. Although I enjoy playing on them, I just have a lot of gripes with the maps. Mainly with the awkward invisible walls and that last push for the EV on Chapel.
But I’m just a scrubby gamer. I want the oldschool maps back with no invisible walls blocking my routes. If I can get to it, I should be allowed to. In a game like Dirty Bomb, with movement/parkour being key, you should be rewarded for finding new spots and ways to approach each objective. I remember Battlefield Bad Company 2 had no walls blocking passage to any spots in the game (as far as I remember). You could jump out of a helicopter and parachute onto a giant crane to snipe from. Those were the days… But that’s just 1 modern game that I can remember removing the walls blocking us from getting creative with our plans of attack.
What? Chapel is the 2nd worst map right behind Dome. That last objective is literally AIDs.
chapel is the best map in dirty bomb.dome = worst.
vote comes up its Dome,Chapel,Underground.0 votes everytime for dome forever lol

What point are you trying to make anyway?
You probably like Chapel for its long range combat and the map feels open. But, have you ever felt so miserable when playing as an attacker? Chapel is very defender sided because you can call in fire support at anytime and anywhere. Especially with the last objective, you need fire support badly.
And, Dome is a map where you can train your trickjumps since it is very open and has many jumping spots.
So, I won’t say what the best map is or even what the worst map is too. Since, that is your opinion and it’s subjective.

People vote against Dome because they simply not liking it. Does not change the fact this map is one of the, if not the best objectively-wise.
-biggest map
-many vertical areas
-multiple paths for attackers to actively flank defenders
-multiple side-objectives that actually matter to progress easier through the map
-more open and closed areas where they’re needed
While for example, Chapel is insanely defender-sided. 2nd objective is even worse than on Bridge. Especially the last part since defenders spawn really close to it.
Last objective is a pain aswell for attackers.
Last defender spawn can be spawntrapped solo with multiple mercs while Dome has multiple paths for defencers so a good timed Airstrike does not force them to die or get back and lose another 5-10 seconds.

-newbs getting lost and majority of the time you’re the only person defending the C4.
I dislike Dome because the first obj is such a mess as attacker, one bushwacker or proxy on defender side and you got nearly no chance to deliver by yourself. That means you need good teammates who actually follow with you to the deliveryspot while we all know that this doesnt happen in 90% of the cases.
The second objective is a little too easy for the attacker while the third is somewhat balanced in my opinion.
However, because of the first obj being a mess and the fact that one turret or a mine makes it impossible to solo (ninja) deliver i dont play this map because i learned to not expect anything from public players.
PS:Recently i see a lot of Trainyards running.
After all, we play a team game. So basically it is a plus-point since it’s meant to be a team-objective.
But I know, I know, teammates can’t do shit for the most time.
people arguing about dome just dont get the best maps are the simplest !
dome has too many routes ! that is why it doesnt work.all great maps in all great games are simple.
look at chapel.its basically just a long road.
look at under ground basically just a one way to objective odd side split.
look at dome here there and everywhere.it tries to be too clever.so its annoying to play.
simple layout
