Yes, that is standard commentary, from some axis: “I said DO NOT open back door!” or “Who jumped onto beach!? Dont give away the uniform like that!”.
Sometimes I type “I planted. Went via ramp.” just to … well, I just type it.

"Weird things" you like to do in ET?
The whole “up ramp and straight to gun” thing is the standard strategy among those in-the-know… when allies waste their time capturing the bunker spawn-point, that forces the axis team to start spawning in a place that is 100% sure to be in between the allies and their objective, which ends up (of course) making things a lot tougher on the allied team. If you leave the axis to spawn in that bunker, it’s a lot easier for the allies to sneak into the gun.
As for weird behavior: I like to sit on top of the goldrush command post when I build it, and even afterward. It makes a nice killing-perch to pick off the guys that make it through the tank-protecting minefield.
nice tactics, will remember that one…
running straight to the battery gun really is effective. although i never
experienced the axis to forget about me
but sometimes it works,
sometimes it doesn’t. battery still remains a crappy map :banghead: i’m
really looking forward what improvements the pro-mappack will bring to
battery…
@ oasis mining
maybe this one is odd, but it can become effective if you know where to
put your mines. there definitely are those places everyone would drop a
mine to, but allies know that and will be prepared. i found that planting only
one single mine at those spots make allies believe they are ‘through’ that
minefild - but your REAL minefiled 10 steps ahead isn’t expected, so they’ll
run into and BANG you got them all…
just keep the mines on routes the allies will walk, but avoid those well
known spots.
as an allied player i like to drop some mines at the old city balkony, you
know this upper level the axis can reach though two team doors right
behind the old city waterpump. axis vary rarely expect mines there, so
you’ll get some kills the easy way.
if you jump over the wall be sure to put some mines right behind the
axis team door at the wall, as most axis will just follow you instead of
do some nice /kill and spawning at the guns…
Something that I found to be very amusing last night while on ND80’s BlueGold server. After getting level 4 in all skills as an Axis player I decided to switch over to the allies to speed the campaign along.
While I was on the axis team the axis were pretty much owning the server. I’m not trying to brag, but that’s how it was. The whole team was talking trash, saying this and that about how good the whole team was.
Then, when I switched over to allies, I just played soldier with flamer/thompson. With my adrenaline needle in hand, flak jacket on, and 5 medics on my team, I proceeded to pull off the most disgusting display of spawn camping ever impagined averaging at least 6-7 kills before cooking myself. Railgun is just too much fun like that. Needless to say, allies ruled for the last 3 maps, including fuel dump which we won in less than 4 minutes.
Hearing all of the little axis bitches that were talking so much trash earlier whine and complain about me leaving the team and owning their bitch-asses was bliss. I suggest you all try it.
I too drop grenades in the train cab at the last minute before axis kill me. that usually gives them a surprise since the nades are the same color as the train and hard to see. When I play engie I usually plant a dyno inside the train cab and then deliver or have a teammate deliver the nice wrapped present to the axis.
Have no ammo left , just have a knife and grenades? Crowd of enemies in a group ahead? Go Middle East style! pull out your grenade and run toward the enemies while the nade is ticking down! You’ll blow up taking the horde with you. What if they shoot you dead? Not to worry, they can’t disarm a live grenade and they’ll be taken out anyway!
Ah yes, I use the suicide nade all the time. When you get that horrible click-click in your pistol and you’re about to meet the entire team coming the other way, you gotta nade them.
It’s funniest though when you prime too ealry and you don’t want to simply nade yourself alone, so you throw it a little before it blows and it reaches them anyway
Makes it look like you’re some kind of 1337 nade expert
It’s also funny when one of the group mow you down and one of the covert ops comes running for your clothes. Or even better if one of their medics decides to make sure you can’t be revived by knifing you
I find it so rude that your team-mates don’t take off their hats for you… so come warm-up time I whip out the trusted pistol and take it off for them…
I do this too, but more on fueldump, the area near the bridge, can slide really far there, just go - Weeeeee! Also when I reach high lvl in engineering I’ll leave a trail of armed explosives in tight passages. Probably not that useful, but I’ve gotten a few kills, and its fun
Oh man… I thought I was the only one that does this… It’s a great (and fun) thing to do and if your teammates see you, they think you’re crazy.
:drink:
Not quite sure how uncommon it is, but…
One of the things I do on fuel dump, as an engineer I go around to the foot bridge and jump down in the river, once down, I make for the tunnel grate by hugging the axis bank of the river. 9 times out of 10 I get into the tunnel completely unnoticed, and uninjured. I’ve also gotten a number of kills off this, as the axis will be standing on the allied side bank, and I will blind side them and kill them before they even realize I am there. Of course, if the axis have someone inside the tunnel, this tends to create problems, but that problem is going to be worse if you have to run through the atillery, MG fire, and MP40 fire as you run up the front way.
In all, it seems to be a great way to get into the tunnel as an allied engineer, without sustaining huge amounts of damage, though I have never seen anyone else using it.
This also can work for a covert, assuming you don’t get dropped by your team. Get a uni from the fight at the bridge. Pull back to the allied ammo/health cabnets, fill up, and then go around this way into the tunnel. With any luck, it should get you back into position as a door man for your local friendly engineer.
Cool!
On the same map, an in the same area: To the right of the bridge, there is some barbed wire. It is jump-able as you know. Sometimes I run (as allied) over ice, to the right of the bridge (the tank-bridge), up the little slope and woaaaarrgh! (war cry) over the wire. (The jump is done close to the bridge.) What for? Well, sometimes it surprises the 1-2 axis who are standing there, near the bridge. They have their eyes glued to the bridge.
Wierd tactics? Not really. Im at work. Bored. Just wanted to talk to the crazy et playing/mapping community.

Mining spawn on Goldrush
- when Tank is taken the allies iirc spawn at Bank Spawn and if as axis when you first rush mine it theyll spawn right onto a lovely minefield
insta engy xp and another minute tops unless your already a good level engy for the tank to get out a bit.
Again same map but as Def I love to mine the small dirt mound at the back entrance to the bank… most peeps either run into mid fire fight or just run face first… quality.
toh ,another smart sneaky b’strd :))
i love to do this
don’t forget wall jumping in every map possible and
covert op + engineer sneaking on Oasis, i’ve been even accused of cheating sometimes by noobs
another thing:
disguise as a cov op, destroy with satchel a command post, and then start jumping over it when u see an enemy engineer then, when he goes to repair the command post, take him out (and the new built command post) for a sure laugh
(it works only 2 times out of 50) (and only with real noobs
)
careful which servers you plant mines close to axis spawn, there are plenty of servers that are extremely vague and have double standards as what consitutes as spawncamping. I got kicked once for spawncamping for calling airstrikes in bank courtyard. I never called one in spawn just send the airstrikes anywhere by bridge and the island with trees in it in the courtyard.
Like to do most of the above, in oasis like to leave mines under the water
in the mine shaft also like leaving mines at the well so when allies go to enter they step on mines.Strangest thing i seen was some body jumping up the wall on the battery map with no ramp!!! tried to do it unsuccessfully
how?
Maybe is Walljumping (call a mate, make him crouch, jump over him)
Gonna check this, even if i think that with all these nades and airstrikes and bad fellas out of here, i will survive this experiment just 0.3 secs :weird:
When Allies wins at goldrush I just got to stand on the truck and throwing grenades to explode in mid air, just to celebrate the victory
when Im cvops I throw smoke on the truck so it looks more bad for the enviroment.
If Im a medic I throw pack at the hood of the truck and watch them rise into the air.
this grenade throwing I do at warmup aswell,
and shoot all windows in the area (all breakable objects)
A bad habit I have is that I execute all idlers that doesnt move at the spawn (if I die and they still stands there).
Rambo tactics at fueldump, when Im attacking through the big door I often sprint up the stairs to the left, towards axis spawn. I often get 3-4 kills on my way because they feel “safe” in that area. Another bonus is that you get on the right side of possible minefields.
