Weird PB lag?

My server is experiencing some weird PB lag. When you connect to it everything is fine, however 30seconds-3 minutes later, it starts stuttering wildly. For me it personally makes my FPS jump from 30 to 90 fps every second, making it unplayable. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Post your pb settings, it might has something to do with screenshotting, or some other kind of polling.
Also, what pb and ET version are you running ?
Is it a newely configured server, or an old one ?
What mod are you running ?

You’re not the only one
We first thought it was mod related, but apparently there must’ve been some kind of PB update which messed things up badly.

At PB site no updates were announced. I foremost think it is this issue here => http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22936

Hm…i admit this sounds very much like this new getstatus exploit floating around, but when you say PB off helps, then i wonder.

Also PB has no updates announced so far. So maybe recheck if PB off really helps. Also check if server provider is experiencing unusual network traffic.

Check for getstatus exploit, it sounds very much like that.

I know i also checked the link saying PB off helps, but i doubt it has something directly to do with PB. PB might also kick because data flow is getting corrupted by that exploit.

temporary solution: block evenbalance server/s

But eh, it’s not only violation#70758, it’s mostly 9015 I see

Thanks a lot for the help! Yeah according to gametracker there are a lot of empty servers who usually are full 24/7.

EB master server list issue. Should be resolved by now.
