I do agree that someone gets obsessed about their stats reaching the top but also, there are people who are just genuinely curious to look at some numbers and to check if they’ve improved since the last gaming session.
I don’t see why this feature shouldn’t be available out of the box. You know? If they make the stats available as a feed/XML I’m gonna put my rank and position along with the GDF logo in my Vista Sidebar. Am I a weirdo just because I like to look at numbers?
Can someone give me atleast one good reason why would I want my stats noted and made public?
well, if you join to a clan, you might want to show the leader how good you are. Of course the cold math won’t do justice but it will help people make a first impression.
Shouldn’t this be a good reason, then just uncheck the option to make your stats publicly available (providing such an option exists).
One thing I don’t understand: if ET:QW can be hosted on a private server, what’s preventing the obsessed ones from hacking > sending fake stats to the global ranking system?
