this is a question for splashdamage, but also the community in general.
What are your opinions on grenade jumping if you can pull it off? For example, using a grenade to boost your jump on the oasis beach map to get up without using the ramp.
Should that be allowed in competitions, or is it against the spirit of the game?
My opinion is that it should be allowed, but I’m curious to hear other’s thoughts.

You mean the map Battery (the nr. 1 axis a.s.- and nade-spam-map)?
Can someone do an intentional nade jump, as allied, to get up (and not using the ramp)? What is that persons ratio of success? 1 in 5, 1 in 10? I mean, it must be nearly impossible to do it.
Unintentional jumps is another question. I played Beach in the Swedish RtCW league as allied. Got blown over the sea wall (after a revive) and went down and stole the documents in less than 3 minutes. There was a debate. We had demos. My demo showed that it was an axis a.s. that had blown me over. The score was allowed, we won that round.
That was 1 year ago. Im not sure what the rules are atm in that league. I play mostly ET nowadays. And there arent so many a.s.-jumps in ET.

I haven’t pulled it off myself, but I’m confident I could master it if I tried.
You TK a teamate and drop a nade next to him, then quickly revive him so the nade goes off b4 his invincibilty wears off, also works with airstrikes.
Imo it’s lame tho and does go against the spirit of the game, and I think you’ll find most leagues/comps see it the same way.
I’m thinking more of explosions by a grenade you drop yourself while not invun in order to boost you in a jump. It helps in a few locations, such as “climbing” the battery wall.
