Excellent, one step closer into separating cosmetics from weapons.

I hope it’ll turn into loadouts sets acting as weapon slots, and each individual skins for individual weapon parts and overall merc design, eventually.

Watch the video. Yes they 're moving towards a TF2 style loadout, however, the hitch may end up being is once you make a card, you can’t change it, so, if your loadout isn’t working, you need to re-acquire the pieces that you need to change.

So in other words…

You have custom decks of 3 cards, one for weapons and augments, one for skins, one for trinkets.

Rewatching the video… I approve.

The it isn’t a full on customizable loadout, but you can ‘flash’ up existing cards.

Don’t like the silver gun on that shard cobalt loadout? Drop on a weapon skin that has a better visual.

I also approve of per merc trinkets. Having the same one for everybody is dull. Variety is the spice of life.

I was interested in the weapons up until they said they were in boxes. I don’t know why they wouldn’t let us just buy the weapon skins that you want.

Because apparently players spend more money this way. I mean otherwise EA and other shitty companies wouldnt push it everywhere. Its easier to spend lets say 10x 2,49 in few months than 1x 10 bucks for skin you like. :slight_smile:

Personally, I would buy more things if I could just get the stuff I want because that way its just oh I got the thing I want let’s look at other stuff I can get instead of having to get boxes over and over again to get the thing I want.

While i don’t like rng things on paid products (like those Javelin and Guardian special cases), being able to buy everything in game is stupid from a player POV. If you could buy everything in one second, you would be left with nothing more to do next. Having something to grind is a good way to have a goal in the game.

And i don’t think what the EU congress is looking at will change the FREE rng case you get by just playing the game. Or litterally EVERY online game would be concerned. Just look at MMORPG, there is rng everywhere lol.

While I agree, there is no trinket I like nearly as much as my dapper doge trinket…so not much else I want to use.

Finally I can switch out the weapon skins on obsidians, omg. I just hope we get something that fits well with them. But then again, I guess pretty much anything is better than the glorified defaults we have now
