WEAPON SKINS AILUGAOUIGBOIGAB;IOGABG

If you watch the video, there are 4 slots:

  1. loadout
  2. primary weapon skin
  3. trinket
  4. empty?

Anyway, this means that the loadout cards stay the same, but you can change the skin on your primary (and secondary?) at will.

Look when they equipped the Phantom obsidian card, it locked the primary slot to the Blishlok.

So I’m not hyped at all

Finally I can switch out the weapon skins on obsidians, omg. I just hope we get something that fits well with them. But then again, I guess pretty much anything is better than the glorified defaults we have now

So now …those who didnt buy those fancy obsidians will be sorry! I regret not buying phoenix or phantom. Luckily i have stoker arty and fletcher! Gotta love arty’s badass Travolta look

So in other words…

You have custom decks of 3 cards, one for weapons and augments, one for skins, one for trinkets.

I don’t think you should expect augments to get separated from loadout cards yet. I’m just assuming stuff though.

(FalC_16) #24

so the player skin remains attached to augments. The only thing we will be able to change is guns with their gun skins?

If you could buy everything in one second, you would be left with nothing more to do next.

Well, you could still connect to a server and just play the game.

I was waiting for this reply
If the game is what really entertain you, so why caring that much about skins ? It adds literrally nothing to the core gameplay. But some people like to feel like they’re well dressed to make war. And it’s a welcomed addition for them.

Chances are that only your primary will be customisable on any card you already have.

They showed a skin card for pistol, so im pretty sure, you’ll be able to skins secondary weapons. Doing the same for melee weapon wouldn’t be that hard (Laser katana someone ? :D)

That would be 4 cards though Eox

According to my understanding of the video, you can’t even change the guns, only the gun skins.

I hope i’m wrong, tho

(ThePigVomit) #28

That is how it appears. Weapon skins and trinkets look to be implemented as merc specific, your dream of a shottie Phantom is still a dream.

(l2c) #29

From the video, I’m assuming it’s loadout + primary skin + trinket + secondary skin.
So no katana skin. Or merc skin separate from loadout. And I suspect you won’t be able to use i.e. a gold weapon skin with a bronze loadout, so you’re still stuck if you want to use the skins you already have on dumb loadouts :<

I am failing to understand why people are getting hyped for this.

People are acting like this is the start of a golden era of customisation, when in reality it’s just another way to sell RNG crates.

Unless I’m missing something and we’ll be able to melt our unwanted SE cards into weapon skins?

Mostly just because its something truly different, after so long (besides mercs and maps).
And we’ve been wanting weapon skins for awhile.

That was something I was actually hoping to hear when I watched the official video. It wasn’t mentioned unfortunately. Still hyped, but I hope a way to re-use SE cards comes up soon!

While I personally don’t care much about weapon skins, they are another way for people to invest money in the game without giving an advantage in game. Which is a good thing because it helps keeping DB financially viable.

Counter Bomb Dirty Offensive.

Hmm. Neat.

Not trying to be in “Better than nothing” mentality.

BUUUUUUUuuuut… it could’ve been worse…

Good thing the game didn’t captivate enough to care for it.

Wow, I’m glad I’m not playing it any more.
I used to play Paladins, but didn’t like the direction the patches were heading.

TBH the previous system was also slightly pay 2 win, I’ve bought all chapions but still needed a lot of “essence” to craft cards which were stronger than the default ones.

This is sad though, a very good game killed by the greed of the publishers (and also the mobility nerfs every patch, because console players couldn’t track the fast moving characters)
