With the current spawn system, absolutely. I’ve even suggested it before BBQ was released. I suggested 3 Sold, 2 Lt all rush 1 way. Don’t care if you have 5 medics. You will get rolled over too fast.

Takes a medic 4 - 5 HS to kill a soldier, only takes a sold 3 - 6 bullets total to kill a medic.

I’ll have to believe the competitive sold/lt layout when I see it. I’m very convinced that a soldier/lt team comp would only improve the performance of a team with awful teamwork and coordination because those classes only make aggressive solo aim play feel more rewarding. I mainly play Soldier and Lt in the drafts purely because I think they have the most important impact from a killing standpoint when played by better aimers (where as an average aimer can win 1v1s, but can’t make game changing plays). I still consider the medic a huge game changer foremost for the medpacks allowing you to regain health so quickly. I account most of my own soldier/lt performance in drafts directly to medics that prioritize their heals/revives rather than just trying to keep everyone alive all the time. You don’t need to stack soldiers/lt when you have medics that support before risking 1v1s, and it comes with a lot more benefits. Then when you have a solid aimer medic who plays towards cleaning up after a soldier/lt’s initial damage and then hit the revive after, it works out great. I still think that there’s very few people who play medic well as a class in this game at the moment, and less that play the medic weapons to their max.

I would not go as far as strychzilla. One Medic as Backup should be in the Team. Sometimes healing, even in DB, is a good Idea XD
Maybe we just have to deal with it. Thats how SD wants the game to be played. Killing > Teamplay…

This is pretty much spot on. This is what I meant when I said medics are just pure support at the moment. This a shooter, every class/character should be viable from a “shooting” perspective. Sadly, the SMG is incredibly underpowered compared to the AR or LMG.

I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten 3-5 headshots using the SMG on someone from far away, just to have them turn around and kill me with a few shots with the AR. The game is currently broke.

2 days ago we had a full US server (16 people) until the teams got unbalanced and assholes felt like spawn camping so everyone left. #alpha

I only check xT every once and awhile. Playing more LOL for some stupid reason…

Spawn Camping is where its at! The best teams in ET and RTCW were the best Spawn Killers… This game has much to learn from RTCW and ET i wish it was more like those two games.

I dont want to keep the xT thingy open all the time so I never know when people are playing…

Only person I know and can rely on would be Funky. Inferno would BAMfana a corner some where to pad KDR. That doesn’t win you games. You’re better off putting Evil-D0er as a medic over Valdez. Valdez is a rager not a supporter. :slight_smile:

Anti - It wouldn’t happen. Lee uninstalled the game because the of the regression it has made over the last year. Valdez doesn’t want to touch the game until the core mechanics flaws are resolved, and I believe Funky took a refund for the above to reasons as well. Though I admit, that would be a pretty fun TDM/SW royal rumble. :slight_smile:

LMAO! I don’t play like BAMFana at all and I’ve rarely seen full regen in my whole play time. Not surprised to see the excuse train never stopped chuggn along though, but it’s not surprising from such an obnoxiously disrespectful poor sport like yourself. When you don’t play like a “hold w key” thick skulled gamer from 2000 it means your stat padding… makes sense. I’ll forever be the guy who is only good at “baiting” or “killing people from across the map” or “flanking” because anyone I kill has far superior aim, but can only prove themselves by challenging people to duels in QL with special rules! #QuitCrying&ManUp

Haven’t seen many of those guys playing lately (funk left). Samu is probably the most consistent Medic SMG user I’ve seen so far though- not sure how well he supports.

It would make more sense to see a 3sold/2fops vs 1sold/1fops/2med/1wildcard if it was for testing the most efficient class layout for 5v5s.

The idea essentially was on one level for fun, but mainly to remove or minimize the skill differential to see how these class compositions would work practically. Strict styles or roles, wouldnt be needed to figure out how these compositions would stack against each other, although that could be tested as well.

And yes there are other players that could play in such a match… :slight_smile:
