I’d say that you’ve balanced the weapons quite effectively just with RoF, damage, and spread. The only reason I’d consider the rifles and MGs so powerful is purely because they apparently have less fall-off penalty for both headshots and body shots. Those weapons already have higher damage and less spread, so I just don’t quite understand why they deserve such drastic advantage? It would make more sense for a scoped assault rifle types, with much slower firing rates to receive that benefit. The problem I see is that a MG or rifle can always out-kill an SMG user at mid range with just body shots and the SMG user already has a small chance of landing headshots at extended distances due to spread. Since rifles are still really effective at close range as well it just seems like an unnecessary addition. That’s my main gripe.

At this point why do you still think there was promises of ET? The good changes only make those who wanted to play the old super class to begin with upset, not that it made any sense to begin with. This game doesn’t always reward the best aimer on every class, but it does reward the smart player with the best aim on every class. That’s a good step forward in my book even if there’s still room for improvement. I’d like to see it continue.

Yes medic has huge utility, you could give him a banana for a primary weapon and he still would be useful just for the revive. Making his weapon **** isn’t going to help, just give him less ammo to start. This way field ops will still be useful, just like W:ET.

i dont miss the rambomedics in et.in et medics were far too powerfull.

if medic has the same weapons,it will be the frag class and the fops would be the ammothrwing support.like in et.
and it would be much more uneven than now

There should be another combat medic with no self heal and just revive paddles if people’s only skill is aiming. Why not? Plenty of good medics in the game that get lot’s of frags, but they have more play skills than aiming. The only reason FOPS is so popular is because apparently most people just want to shoot a gun and that’s it.

Yep that’s a good point, I say primary weapon I must say lethality package ! my mistake
BUT for the moment some primary weapons are really weak or some to effective, and most of people play only the most effective primary weapon with the deadliest ability and dont care about the rest (aka full field ops team) SO I think there is problem in some package at this moment.

I really only think about comp where everyone is an amazing shot and how that balance will effect the game. I just want to shoot and kill people in pubs and could careless about obj. Its a stress reliever. I could care less about other peoples K/D but if mine isnt 2 I get pissed in any game. The W/L is very low on my care list in pubs also. I like to see stats like Accuarcy and Headshots.

The fact of the matter is I like medic so I can go into every fight full hp. Its fast and the only thing i will to worry about is ammo. I still play medic in xt or DB or whatever the f its called now.

LT and other classes are to slow! I dont want to sit in a corner and get HP back nor do I really want to die from an unfair fight because I started it with 65% HP.

Leave nothing to chance. This game isnt like ET you can go into a fight with lower HP and think your better shot is going to win. I remember thinking I need to 3 dink this guy because I have low HP. xT isnt like that its more CODish where you need to hide until you have full HP.

Something is off.

i agree that the medic gun is a little bit too weak on distances or fop too strong idk ,but a good medic on defense have always an advantage he can shoot, go behind a wall heal up and shoot again.

I never understand why companies feel forced to innovate and don’t realize that they got “it” right many years also.
Why was W:ET and ET:QW so popular? Why change the way the classes work now? You’re changing the very core of the game and risking messing it all up.

As most people agree, in the end this is a shooter. Yes there are medics heal/revive, there are fops that provide support fire and ammo, there are engineers that need to be defended to perform objectives. However, in the end, ALL three of these classes had the same primary weapons. This is why W:ET was such an amazingly well balanced game to play competitively. When it comes down to it, I want to kill the person in front of me because I have better aim or I positioned myself better.

My job is still to heal/revive or airstrike/ammo or do objectives. But when I have to shoot I know that i have every chance to kill the guy (assuming same level of skill).

Call me old fashioned, maybe I’m unwilling to move on with my life. But to me the perfect FPS is W:ET with updated graphics and a few fixes to make it “more modern”. I wish this game was closer to W:ET, ET:QW than where it is heading currently which is somewhere between Brink and CoD.

The reason I was field ops wasn’t for the weapon, it’s because there was nothing much to do but throw airstrikes at the slow moving EV with everyone hugging it.

I’ve never played a draft, scrim, or pug where everyone was one class. In pubs people obviously have different ideas and motivations behind what class they choose to play. One of the reasons why I think ranked match making will be good for the game since people would care more about winning than fragging.

Oh it is, especially on PC, they’ve had a long life cycle but the cycle is obviously there. The length of that cycle is largely because they have innovated between titles, especially the jump from WW2 to Modern Warfare.

Anti is right there. But the main competitions part is the same like in cod1. So the core is the same! Not like in DB XD
