Weapon Attachments

So I’ve read in multiple interviews about Brink having multiple different attachments for their weapons, and I was just wondering what exactly people new about it… I.E. what area’s of the gun will have attachments, will all guns have them or just a few, will attachments be weapon specific, will there be different grades of attachments, and will the attachment’s be easily interchangeable or will they be permanent?

attachments work on any appropriate weapon, they can be changed out afaik

i would expect something in the line of
bigger clip/better accuracy/grenade launcher(?) kind of attachments.

Will you be able to attach multiple attachments to your weapon of choice?.. and, I also wonder. I don’t believe each weapon attachment will work for every gun. For instance. You cant really put a clip on a revolver.

Yes I just noticed that myself. My bad… Will the Resistance have the same weapons as Security or will they be different? and if they are different, do they each have 24 weapons or just 12 each?

weapons are the same for both factions. Only difference is appearance (dirty, used looking, vs clean, well maintained look - not a totally different looking weapon) and sound.

So it will be 24 weapons, but 48 designs?.. that’s a nice touch on fine detail

How many different weapon sub-classes will there be?

still the best modification was in cysis, sniper sight(10x or sth) for shotgun xD

but seriously, will there be as many mods per weapon as in combat arms or more or less?

are there probably even mods taking stance in consideration?
like when in motion a light weapon is easier to handle, or when crouching behind an object your weapon spread is reduced because of a tripod?

I hope they go into as much detail as is understandable to the average player, i just cant wait, and yeah sssaap the little tweaks such as tripods and light weapons mooving faster would be great to take into consideration

so far they have mentioned: stocks, magazines, sights, muzzle brakes, flash hiders, bipods

will they have different ammo rounds as well? and I believe a “flash hider” is considered a silencer.

I like the way COD dealt with the attachments. The more you add to the gun, the more unwieldy it gets, in that way ‘bare’ guns have their own advantage as well so you can’t keep stacking additions.

as well as altered cases[both materials and camo], forearms, tactical lights, laser iluminators[both IR and visual], altered[size, style, form, type]clips/drums/bags, anatomic handgrips, altered[in both directions. and maybe types]trigger mecanism, reinforced[more robust]mecanism and barrels[more full-auto-friendly as well as more accurate, OR allows to use more high-power ammo, BUT more bulky/heavvy]and etc and etc.
