-=>Weader<=- To the Rescue! All your Questions answere

(Rainman2784) #1

Hey there Wolf players, My name is -=>Weader<=- and I am a Hippie! :rocker2: yes its true, lol that’s not the point though. I have played Return to Castle Wolfenstein for a long time now, and I just switched to ET a few weeks ago, I have noticed A lot of people new to the world of Wolfenstein in ET and more than 50% of you out there have no idea what to do. well I am making a site just for you! :drink:  I will teach you everything I know from how to Color your name - to advanced tactics Such as how to revive team mates with the needle to sneaking into the enemy base as a spy and backstabing the MOTHER F… lovers before they know what hit them :moo:

its has been real annoying to join a server that has a max of 12 people and 4 out of 6 people on my team are new and don’t know how to fire the mobile MG42 the right way! when use properly the thing shoots strait and has very little recoil!

I will also teach you how to WIN every time! no you don’t have to be an uber 1337 with a gun and rack up 200 frags to win, what you need is team work! the US army knows it! there is no real life rambo and no one should try to be in this game either. with a well oiled team you can flank, rush and only 6 guys in a well fortified position can hold off constant Nazi attacks! how? well there is A lot to tell you so you will have to check out the site to learn. I wont post a link yet until I get it up and running and that will be a few days from now. also I am not really sure it Splash would be happy with it thinking that I am advertising, well I’m not I just want to help people have a great time with this sweet Kick @$$ game! (can I say that?)

I will also show you a few things NOT in the options you can do to Tweak the game so you guys out there with older computers can play with out the nasty LAG! and it is all ok to do, no cheating! that is one thing I despise! everything I teach you will be ok with the makers of the game (lol it better be, they will have the link to my site too) and to be honest here is my system specs, and I have no problem playing the game at all!

64 megs of ram
win 98 se
pent III 500 MHz
TNT Niva vanta LT with 8 megs of ram
56K modem
some factory hard drive

now I will admit I don’t have very nice graphics or a fancy cable modem but its all about gameplay to me! how many times have you played Zelda link to the past? and I bet you still play it!

anyway this is about teaching you how to play! even if you are Totally new to this type of game, and don’t even know how to walk, run, jump, do a 360 and stab the guy shooting at you in the back, I will teach you! if the site is a success I will open a newbie training server (or something like that) and hold your hand as you shove a sick grenade up some guys… err where the sun don’t shine :eek3: hell I have done it before (teach a total newbie, not the grenade thing) I taught my 53 year old mom how to play Half-Life and Return to Castle Wolfenstein and she never even knew how to turn on a computer before, now I bet she can dish out more pain in Wolf than most of you ever dreamed, and you know the funny thing is? you would never guess she was an old fart.

anyway, I hope I didn’t piss anyone off… and I hope word gets around about this. because after the site opens I hope to see lots of people who know what they are doing instead of some field ops standing in front of me and I am screaming his name and asking for some ammo and he stands there shooting his mp40 at a tree and then grabs some ammo he gave himself and then continues shooting at nothing :banghead:

well i hope this gets all of you new guys/girls hopes up, and please ignore my bad spelling i have been up 24 hours (playing ET) and had a gallon of coffee.

(Rainman2784) #2

Ohh yeah and to the admins, if you find anything in the message offensive let me know i will be happy to fix it and to never EVER say or do it again

(amazinglarry) #3

Well ya know what? Give me the link whenever, and I’ll make a bind in game, so when all the tool n00bs are being… well, tools… I’ll announce the link and tell them to go there to learn how to actually play.

(Rainman2784) #4

Kewl, i know most people dont want to waste time teaching them, but they have to learn somewhere. and there is one on every server.

(VampMaster) #5

That seems very… interesting.

(Brinkman) #6

what? :???:

(The W00dsm4n) #7

sounds like a good idea. we need a good n00b guide.

I did not edit this in any way, but the Product numbers to *, and if you still dont believe me, Brinkman up there only lives about 20 miles from me! He can come look at my computer and Confirm this info! Sorry for making this long, but there is a sceptic in every forum.

Ohh yeah its also a gateway computer so here is the link to the specs online http://support.gateway.com/support/allsysteminfo.asp?sn=0018743658 click on the My Original System Information link, if you try to click My Current Configuration the site will scan your computer to get it. i hope this takes care of that.

(SCDS_reyalP) #11

Hmmm, yeah OK, so you can run dxdiag on some ancient system. What FPS do you get in ET ? I’d be surprised if it even loads with 64 megs of RAM, and that CPU/video card combination would give you crappy frame rates for RTCW, let alone ET. Not to mention swapping to HD every 3 steps because you don’t have enough RAM.

Now maybe it does run, but most of us don’t consider single digit frame rates to be playable.

Somehow I get the feeling I’m feeding a troll here. Ah well, we wouldn’t want the poor little things to go hungry now, would we ? :poke:

(Rainman2784) #12

Dude What the hell is your problem? you think because you have over 200 posts you can fuck with people? do you question everyone who says something to you? well go suck your mommies Titty if you have nothing better to do than Criticize me! this post is not about how many FPS I get or if I can run the game!
Here is your proof

Need anthing else? my nime to show up somewhere in the Screen Shot? need to see my .cfg files? mabe you want to Download my whole RTCW/ET Directory to your computer. or buy a plane ticket and come out to my hose and get on the computer yourself!

BTW i use Wally to convert the picture from TGA format and for some reason the texture quality looks real crappy, if you want to see this picture in TGA format let me know. I’m sure you would like to waste more of my time

(alexwryt) #13

That screenshot looks horrible, how do you play like that? OK anyway I think thats enough arguing about this guys computer. Is it that important?

Anyway good luck on the site. And if you need someone to write a tutorial how to Panzer-whore give me a call.

(Rainman2784) #14

Thanks, ill keep you in mind

BTW about the Screen shot the version of Wally i use dosnt support the Alpha channel so thats why it looks crapy.

(SCDS_reyalP) #15

No. If you had a thousand posts, that wouldn’t make any difference. You claimed something that was obviously false: that a system well below the minimum specs for ET could play it smoothly. Then you posted a screenshot of RTCW with a not very tweaked config and low FPS to back it up :weird:

I don’t know, maybe your definition of ‘playing without any trouble’ is just very different form mine.

You paint yourself as some kind of RTCW expert, but you don’t even seem to know about screenshotjpeg or r_fastsky.

Whatever. If you want to help newbies, that’s great.
