I’d rather someone learn bad habits (seriously, how much of a habit it can be till you reach lvl 7; this ain’t life, you can de-habit your habits), than quit the game because of getting totally owned and calling ‘p2w shit game full of hackers’
We need server with minimum level 7+
The newcomers need to be separate from the hardcore players in some way. Otherwise we will lose A LOT of Newcomers who get smashed hard on their first experiences. That is way more important considering that this game needs to grow a bigger community in the end.
Well newcomers already can seperate themself if they want to.
There are max lvl 6 Servers.
Granted those servers might need more visibility in game (maybe even a dedicated quick join button).
But still newcomers who want to play in a save haven, away from the big boys, absolutely can. No need for more lvl. gates.
Also besides all the new players that suck, there are some that are quite good. And forcing them to play on a low level till they hit 7 isn’t helping either.
I think promoting the low lvl. servers. And improving/rebooting the competive matchmaking mode would propably be enough to help the situation.
You aren’t forcing anyone to anything. There are plenty of servers with no level restrictions. But there are NO servers for veterans. I am really sick of having to carry a team of sub 5 level team mates or stomping the opposite team.
Bumping.
Nexon/SD. Please get on this issue already.
+1
Agreed with everything. I hate playing on open servers because it’s completely unbalanced. I don’t have fun when seeing kiddies who don’t know about sprint or C4.
Solution: Min level servers OR add finally rankings/rewards to matchmaking.
Competitive matchmaking will fix a lot of the issues. Seriously. It’s just really hard at the moment with so little players playing.
But add ELO into the mix and now you have people paired with other players of the same skill level. Just like CSGO. A silver can’t compete against a LEM, so you shouldn’t expect to play against silvers if you are LEM. It would be boring. That’s essentially what open servers are right now.
The funnest games are when I play against a balanced team. Win or loose, this game should encourage players to play a fair game.
I guess it would makes sense when open beta starts, because currently the playerbase is too small.
No its not. One or two high level servers would be fine and always full.
I don’t know where are you playing from, but in Europe, playerbase is small.
It’s freaking Sunday and I had trouble finding any server with a free slot (there were just 4 of them, full).

so because almost all servers are full, the playerbase is small?
Playerbase is bigger than ever. And it will keep on gettin gbigger.
Read once again. 4 servers. Whole Europe. It wasn’t prime time, but still 12 am GMT is not 3 am.
Bump. When will you stop ignoring veteran players? Pubs are such a piss poor experience now that open beta has launched.
EDIT: It’s been over a month now since I first started this thread and it hasn’t been addressed at all. I just don’t understand what’s the hold up. 95% of people agree that his is a good idea. Get to it Nexon/SD. @MissMurder

The problem is I seriously doubt it would help. Try playing competitive(minimu mlevel 5) and you see see the same issues mentioned in the initial post. If this is implemented, it needs to be lvl 10+. I almost don’t want to see this implemented because those new players would still be just as new once they got to whatever minimum level is required. Nobody with experience would be there to help them improve/tell them what they are doing wrong.
i only started a few days ago , just hit level 6 myself , in the last game i noticed a vote to balance the teams on skill, it came up 3 times i noticed and failed each time . im guessing because not enough people saw it no one was voting no , just not enough of us voting yes.
why does this require a vote? just let the server do it i say.

Those votes were called by players in the game. The server didn’t call that vote. The server do autobalance at the end of a map as the game returns to the lobby. Then a bunch of people leave and teams get stacked again.

Plz make level 10+ Servers !! Would be so much better.
I think when reaching around level 10, it is ensured that this player has some kind of knowledge of the game, and this will lead to much better games with balance and most important teamplay. With this system you can have skilled games even on public.
Total noobs > servers max level 6
little experience > servers below level 10
much experience/veterans > server with level 10+
With this system every skilllevel can have balanced and fun games on publics.
And i also guarantee you, that with this system A LOT OF NEW PLAYERS will stay in the game. Cause they won´t leave after 1 game, because they won´t get spawnraped/rekt by much higher level players in their first matches. They can slowly learn the game and have fun without being stressed so much.
Its good for both sides. Newcomers and Veterans.[/quote]
agree with UNKR4UT those who are 10+ tend to be players who have at least one good gold card as soon as you hit level 10 it should only match you with that level and higher in quick join. new players won’t feel conferrable may even quit playing if they are playing against 10+

And what happens when those new players reach level 10 and find themselves getting stomped and still not knowing how to play the game well because no veterans helped them figure it out? Part of that is on the player for not growing within the game, but it will still happen. High level+ servers are a band-aid. The real problem is educating the new players, not segregating them.
your not a new player when you reach level 10 LOL if you have played that long you must have figured out the basics and have a clear definition on how the game is played and what to do if not well then team based games are not for you
Did you miss that double experience weekend where plenty of players jumped up to 8-9-10+ while still be absolute newbs? Farming experience in easy when all you need to do is join an 8v8 as skyhammer. Please let me know at what point does a player become experienced from grinding exp? Levels don’t tell skill, only time. The biggest problem people complain about is skill difference.
