We need a way to modernize rare Gen 1 loadouts to Gen 2 without RNGrinding.

I don’t see how these cards won’t still be relevant. Many of the cards in the game contain 3 solid augments. Maybe some of them will become less so in the future, but I think that could be dealt with by allowing us to do the “reroll” I suggested earlier in this thread and in other threads.

(SzGamer227) #22

The whole reason behind the creation of 2nd Gen loadouts was that there were so many augments that people felt were a waste of augment slots. “Many” hardly makes the cut, and only a select few mercs have a majority of their cards with 2 or 3 solid augments on them.

Any card where a bad augment is replaced by a good agument in Gen 2 is essentially obsolete by comparison. On the flipside, Special Edition cards that noone uses could be made useful if one of their bad augments were replaced with a useful one. That’s the core issue that I’m focusing on in this thread.

Hey, look, my only WTD card with 3 solid augments!

It was like the worst card of the whole first gen cards, and do you think it will be able to compete with the second gen?

Considering you can still own people with the default cards, yes.

Then why even bother releasing 2nd edition since augments are worth shit?

The won’t make any more money from the cards rotting unused in the inventory. Offering an upgrade path based on a reasonable credit fee could create a lot of good will and encourage players to invest cash into other things now that they ran out of credits. B)

Hey guys,

I just posted in another thread regarding this, but I am going to paste it here too:

This is a big concern for us as well, your Special Edition, Obsidian, etc. cards not being “worth” anything anymore because they are obsolete.

As a long term goal, we are looking into how to keep these cards relevant.

I have no more information to share about this at this time however, sorry about that. I just want let you guys know we share the same concerns about this.
Well then, may I ask you if we ares able to trade those special editions?(or even Founders may be.)
Founder’s won’t be available to trade.

However, this is unrelated to trading.

This thread and Raziel’s post is giving me a tiny bit of hope that I will be able to use these soon to be obsolete cards. (most of them have always been obsolete…)

(Mrarauzz) #29

Lol give them the good ol’ bit of hope then wait two years to implement something. Gotta love this song and dance.

(AnonOmis1000) #30

Do you need someone to call you a waaaabulance?

(doxjq) #31

How would they change the special edition cards though? I’d be hell pissed if they changed my S82 CW Arty. That card has been in my #1 spot since the CW event. If the S82 has changed at all in the second edition I wouldn’t want it changed - I like all 3 perks on that card. They’d have to do everyone individually or something wouldn’t they? Which would take forever.

Easy. This:

Damn. How much money have you spent on that inventory? That´s really impressive.

Enough. And i’d like it if that money spent wasn’t just devalued into nothing.

Manually changing all Gen 1 cards to Gen 2 cards in a mandatory full conversion? Yeah, that would basically be impossible. But an optional trade-in feature that exchanges a First Edition S82 for a Second Edition S82 is what this thread is going for.

(RazielWarmonic) #36

We won’t be manually changing any cards. We would leave it up to players whether they want to or not.

(dlux) #37

So I crossed out the S.E. cards that are obsolete to me now. (edit: I actually forgot to cross a few)
I really hope you don’t forget about your loyal customers.

(MarsRover) #38

@Delukz also Obsidian Phoenix - Cool replaced by Untrackable. Pretty sure Dreiss Arty has better loadouts in 2nd gen. Sorry :frowning:

(dlux) #39

Yeah I forgot to cross a few out like that, most cards that still have Cool on them are obsolete now.
But i can work with the cards where cool was replaced by extra melee damage for example.

(dlux) #40

BUMP! Keep this tread alive, everyone who owns V1 Special Edition loadouts would profit from this.
