One of my biggest fears with ET is that the clients of ET will never get any fixes/updates to ET. If SD does anything to ET, just please straigten out the bugs. Then you can abandon it if you like. The server patch is a start… but I have yet to hear any news about SD continuing to work on ET? Will a SD representive please enlighten us?

I am sure they will continue to support it. If this game is a success that will open the Door for Enemy Territory 2 to come out and make back all that money so they want to gain as many followers as possible.
