“psycozz gives him self another great shot” haha, potty that makes me laugh soooo much…

During the match, i was thinking about the shoutcaster who are watching me giving myself this greatshot their reactions.

Awesome match :D, fun to watch

I still don’t understand why we lost the defense on Waterloo, when we attacked we had 1 charge going on each of the two objectives, but they had only one …
This surprised me tbh

I think that’s because our charge was closer to detonation.

It should have technically been a draw (since C4 is a binary objective) but the rules aren’t working correctly at the moment.

Our charge was closer to going off so in the current OT tiebreak rules that is a win for us. Those rules are frankly wrong though and the tiebreak should only be for whole completed objectives, not partial completion. Map two was really 1-1.

Overall the game was very good fun. You give us too much credit for familiarity, we were essentially a pick-up even though we know what roles each of us prefers and we play in the same games often. We did try hard to coordinate pushes though. Sadly on our initial rush on Camden we were so keen to lock the gate we locked four of the five of us out :frowning:

Glad they were close games though, made for a good cast. Really enjoyed Mustang’s tactical insight as well, called out some of the more subtle things that I think would have otherwise been missed.

Also, dat 'nade!

Right at the heart of testing, one new task for the next sprint ^^

And I love the proxy mines, definetly ! Saved us many times in waterloo

Since I was too busy watching SRS-Kap as your lone engineer, I missed that epic moment. Worry ye not, though! I’ve obtained the demo and will be giving that little moment its own spotlight. He also landed a kill onto you seconds before

Only managed to watch Camden but was enjoyable. Great shoutcasting as usual guys. Seems like SRS-Kap was doing some serious damage for the SD team!

haha, i did admire that team push and then ask myself why you shut yourselves out

Also thought there was a perfect example of why the data core objectives are still not right… go to 16:40 on Camden… SRS-Kap takes down 3 guys, 2 of which are carrying the cores… all of them taken down yet he is still unable to return either of the cores due to the rediculous return time, at which point his ‘multi-kill’ becomes useless as the attacking team just regain the area, the cores and carry on like nothing’s happened.

(Jamieson) #11

I have to agree with this; for attacking you should be able to pick the cores up by walking over them and the same for defense only they get instantly returned, it just helps the game flow better.

Just Epic ! :stuck_out_tongue:

He might have not been interacting with them there. Several times we left them in the field on purpose for 10-15 seconds before returning, to delay their attack.

(Anti) #14

The main issue with this is players picking them up by accident when they’re dropped and not realizing it

(Fendah) #15

The train picked up one!

You’re waiting for a train. A train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don’t know for sure. Yet it doesn’t matter, because we’ll be together.

(Jamieson) #16

That’s true but in the greater scheme of things running around with the obj by accident seems to be less of an issue than what we currently have, besides if you had the obj by accident I don’t imagine you’d be alive for long anyway as nothing draws enemy fire like having an obj symbol above your head. Simply put don’t fix what isn’t broke; it worked fine in ET, ETQW and if I remember correctly the same system was used in Brink too, because what it really comes down to is players either being frustrated because they didn’t realize they had the objective, or players becoming frustrated because the game mechanics are clunky, I know for a fact which one would be more annoying because if I make a mistake I know I can correct it, whereas with game mechanics you can’t.

(ImageOmega) #17

What about interaction, but instant interaction via a key press instead of a delay? Also, maybe no interaction for attackers delivering cores like in CTF when someone captures a flag.

(AntOO14) #18

Nice video’s enjoyed watching it.
For the objective issue picked up and not realizing it you could add a pick-up sound .

(MrEd) #19

I’m very disappointed Potty, you described SRS-Kap as a great team player. LIES! ALL LIES!

(Seanza) #20

Here’s “dat nade” with re-dubbed shoutcasting!
