hell i was in the first months of world of tanks, i moved out to warthunder since they went P2W. Been happy with Warthunder ever since

like what @BlackboltLW said i also have mixed feeling on SD decision to do this.

also a chance that its not SD choice since i think the chicken company supposed to buy out SD

They better not pull people from d.b team there finaly starting to pick up steam on the game, i dont want to see this game go back to the slow ass updates amd content that we had in the nexon era.

Lol been recently going on a nostalgia trip and revisiting BLR. Still a criminally underrated game, and surprisingly still a bunch of people playing it. o:)

Also very mixed feelings about Wargaming move, but may get DB a lot more exposure which boost playerbase…

I’ll reserve judgement at this point - I’m interested to see what they are cooking up together :slight_smile: I’ve seen Wargaming’s track record, and they seem to have some interesting ideas and make some good games… even if some people say their business practices leave a little to be desired.

Though as the dev’s said on reddit, it’s business as usual for Dirty Bomb. They are hiring new staff for the project, as opposed to pulling any more off their existing projects like DB.

If you guys watch whats going on on wot scene you would know about SirFoch scandal. WG completely pissed of their community while giving hell to one of their youtubers claiming they would copyright strike all of his content on his channel simply because he stated his opinion on their moneygrabbing strategy. Its all about introducing super op tanks you can only buy for cash. I stopped playing tanks for the same reasons. Dont wanna support this BS company anymore. I really hope SD wont turn DB into any of this.

They won’t. Judging by the project, job listings and wording of the article, SD has partnered with WG on an entirely NEW project. WG will have no impact on their other current announced or unannounced projects… I could be wrong, but that’s what it seems. It’s a new partnership solely for a project together. :slight_smile:

So nothing changes for us or SD games at all.

Except that was blown out of all proportion by commentators who had never even played the game (e.g. Jim Sterling). SirFoch went completely overboard with his comments and later experience has shown he was talking about a very specific set of circumstances that the majority of players can simply drive around. The only thing that was contentious was an unauthorised statement from WG NA, who had nothing to do with the situation and were pressed to provide a view by those same commentators. Those comments were quickly withdrawn and an apology was issued.

There are some tanks that you can buy for cash which are strong (certainly not OP) but if you visit the WoT forums you’d see that there are far more calls for other premium tanks to be buffed. It’s not much more than the sort of power-creep you’d expect to see in any MMO that wants to reduce player churn and increase engagement.

I’m one of the first to criticise WG when they deserve it, such as re-releasing the Mutant (a pre-order tank “never will be sold again”) during the Advent sales last year and selling the E25, which really is a completely broken OP tank, but in this case it’s much ado about very little.

I’m interested to see where this takes SD and what they’ll be working on. WG have struggled to produce anything outside of the ‘World of …’ genre so maybe there’ll be something decent coming along that isn’t Masters of Orion again.

@acrobaticBudgie fair points m8. I closely follow wot youtubers such as Foch. Yes his language was excesive and yes he is one of the salty ones but his argument was right. Tanks like chrysler, defender, scorpion or libertee are super op comparison to other non premium vehicles in that tier. Of course once they poison the game with items like this there is no turning back (nerfing them) as people paid for them. And me who purchased T34 ages ago can only dream of stats like these. Ofc they are now planning to buff the old prem tanks too.

Dont want to derail the discussion but long story short DB is great because its not a p2w title and the microtransactions are purely about vanity.

I have my fingers crossed for attracting new players to DB simply because WG is big studio with huge community.

i thought the only E series that got built was only the E-100 and that was the chassis only.
also the gun is 7,5 Kwk 42 is Panther gun right?
