hey, I just bought this game this evening after playing the demo for a few rounds, so far it seems like a pretty cool game!
anyways, i think i’ve got the hang of most of the basics, but it’s always nice to play with someone experienced so i don’t run around all useless and stuff :slight_smile:

so yeah, im based in Europe/Belgium/Netherlands, hit me up on steam ‘14485’ if you feel like playing a few rounds and chatting me through some things! in return i can teach you some Dystopia :wink: (pro objective based game on Source engine)

on a side note, does this game still have a competitive scene? what is the format/teamsize?
are there ‘pickup games’ somewhere?

For competition you are a little late to the party I’m afraid :frowning:
We played mostly 4v4, 5v5 and 6v6 in competition, with some exceptions.

Not sure if there’s still an active pug channel on IRC, Seanza would know…

To plug TAW here, if you’re looking to play with a group of people, TAW would be the place for you! We play every sunday and tuesday and holding an inter clan “tourny” called BFE that can become very competitive. I would highly recommend you check them out at taw.net

Its a very big organization with a bunch of different games so don’t be shocked if you don’t just see quake wars. The EU QW division has somewhere around 50 -60 people right now I believe.

but i played there (taw) and i can assure it is a good place to learn and to compete.
however avoid it if you dont like too much spam from microphones, hehehe.

today i just found there is one magnetron and another one which is ultramagnetic. they are not the same guy, hihihi
