Tried downloading the vid a few times with no luck.

On sort of an off topic note, I find it interesting that people from different countries are so interested in the same thing - ET. I see people from Europe, Ireland (which I hope someday to visit being part Irish), and other countries posting here. The human race is notoriously evil in killing others of their kind; could it be that ultimate peace between the human races lies in the fact that they simply like gaming with each other?

Cant download, just gives me a ‘page not found’ error… grrr gettting some good use out of bakcspace while drunk.

My grandfather was Swiss (and German I think)… last name Vetsch which is supposed to be shortened from what it originally was… Vetschgroesche or something. He was a watchmaker that moved to Illinois when he married my grandmother, and had a jewelery store for awhile until WW2 hit. I only have my great aunt left of all my family, so am not so sure on those things.

I wouldnt kill anyone regardless of race, but find me in ET and I’ll steal your pants :slight_smile:

It’s a nice movie btw, though the exploits doesn’t have any “replay value” imho (whereas trick jumps can be really nice to watch).

Pretty nice movie with a couple nice jumps. Useful? Nah, not really, but they’re pretty cool. I hope there will be lots of tj’ing possibilities in ET:QW.

Seems that you have to stand in the playermodel that you revive.
And after revive shove (although not sure).
So may be it’s possible in every map.

I didn’t watch it yet, but does it have the SupplyDepot2 shove trick? Where you can shove a teammate into the depot all the way from the broken wall at the top of the road?

Traditionally, “America” does refer to the US, although geographically it includes everything from Ellesmere Island down to Cape Horn. It’s not a conspiracy by the US to steal the name of an entire continent, you can relax. It’s just shorthand. :wink:

“The United States of America” = “America,” just like “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland” = “Britain,” because the longs names suck and nobody wants to say all that crap.

Some of the moves are just nice trickjumps, but some are major exploits (like the subterranean goldrush mission and the revive-boost exploit) that need bugfixing. Looks like I’m going to need to get scripting…how do people find all these bugs?

Are these guys using some type of script to do all these jumps? The reason I ask is that the effect of ‘skiing’ by jumping when you hit the ground was a big factor in gameplay in Tribes, but wasn’t truly used until a script was made that auto-jumped you the instant you hit the ground as long as you held jump down.

I don’t notice any animations of jumping in the movie, and the ones where the guy is going backward… I just dont see anyway anyone could do that without a script. Is there a script to auto jump when you hit the ground if jump is held? Is it legit?
