I was thinking of using a simular system like (hl)Natural Selection has:

I would like to see that popup menu in the vampire mod aswell, just like NS has. Plus their expierence system is really interesting to use.

Let me know what you guys think of that idea.

I dont get it though… why “allies vs vampires” ? Why not vampires vs vampire-hunters? Dosnt that make much more sense?

A little devlog of mine, this is only the coding part. Keep in mind that alot of new features will be added to this list.

Vampire features;

  • increased speed, 100%(used new datatable)
  • higher jumping, 100% (used new datatable)
  • increased health/ and maxhealth 100%(used new datatable)
  • decreased gravity 100% (used new datatable)
  • double jumping, 100%
  • leaping, 50%
  • cloaking, 50%
  • infrared/nightvision eyes 5%
  • teleporting(x units to crosshair) 0%
  • Vampire bite(drain hunters and gain health) 0%
  • death effect 0%

Hunter features:

  • SMG recoil, for a bit realism 100%
  • lasermines, 0%
  • railgun, 0%
  • flashlight, 0%
  • jetpack 0%
  • teleporting(back to base) 0%
  • gravity boots 0%
  • turret 60%
  • Scanner/radar 0%

Both teams:
Upgrade menu 0%
new datatable for class specific values(gravity/speed,etc) 100%

you said laser mines 2 times. Anyway I dont think hunters need teleporting back to base and gravity boots. Maybe something like kevlar armor or jumping stick (xD just joking)

Kevlar armor is a good idea aswell, and using the upgrade menu, we can create different levels of armor strength.

Sry to post this here, but I’m getting sick of having to register to a new forum every couple of days. =/

Some movements that would make the game more action packed.

-Pushing yourself off from walls (when against a wall and press jump again you bounce of the wall a bit)
-Sliding (getting speed, jumping and crouch)
-Grabbing a ledge when jumping for it (pulling yourself up after this)

Also I would suggest some cool vampire hunter weapons like:

-crossbows (silence but deadly)
-Shotgun that fires a silversteak

You know the kinda stuff you see in Blade1, 2, & 3, Underworld 1 & 2 and other modern vampire movies. ^^

As for:

Do you want this for the hunters or for the vampires? because the vampires already have a major advantage with leaping, doublejumping and stuff.

But I have to mention that you are already registered at our forum, so you just have to log in :slight_smile:

Well I was thinking since the vampires can jump better, that the hunter could climb.
Giving them a way to get to higher points as well.

Starting from tomorrow(saturday) I will be gone on vacation for two weeks.

I will be going to France, at a place called ‘Lacanau’ with 5 mates. Lacanau is a well-known place to go surfing, and that’s excatly what we’re going to do.

I hope this mod has great success, there’s never enough ET mods! Something I’d like to see in it:

  • Holy water, thrown on vampire would slowly decrease health, quite same way as in jaymod’s poison but with the exception that you couldn’t die on it
  • Hitsounds, most preferably something else than etpro’s cowbells. Maybe a loud shout of pain from the victim when he receives damage?
  • New voicechat, maybe something like “the power of christ compells on you” and something like that to give nice atmosphere =)
  • For vampires a possibility to double-jump, but for hunters not. To avoid leet trickjumpers going too fast, make the stamina go down immediately after double jump

Would like to see all of those in the mod, though I would be happy if even one of them would be in it :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the ideas, except for the hitsounds, when using ‘damage sounds’, like shouts of pain, it will be a real mess since your gun shoots xx bullets per minute. Also, cowbell hitsounds would take away the ‘mystical’ aspect of the vampire theme.

i don’t know if its a good idea, buuuut, there Is this a mod for counter strike, with ‘hiders’ and ‘seekers’.

Basicly, hiders begin and have 3 minutes to put themself in a place where they want, and then they can select a big list of models they can change in. Think about vases, lamps, and so on
