W:ET problem

Everytime I go into a game i’m in for 5 seconds then it freezes and plays the same sound over and over then closes my game, why is this, only 1 server works for me.

try the usuals:

*apply latest patch
*try running your own server and see if you can join the game
*grab latest DirectX and graphics drivers

I have the same throuble. my W:ET just works iin warmup doesn´t matter how much time. I freeze in Fight! (Etpro)
I already tried
reinstall ET
defrag, skandisk
update Punkbuster
update vidcard driver n directx
I caught another pb from a friend
security 0
default configs
frind´s configs
remove (udp/tcp) modem permissions
I change my mobo, ram and chip (soyo/dimm/athlon to asus/ddr/pIV)

anyone have another idea?
I missing the last brazilian´s league :frowning:

Did you check your system logs for any clues? Start->Right click on My Computer->Manage then open the Event Viewer on the left and try to find entries that have the same time as when ET fails. Sometimes you can get a clue from these entries.

For the guy with the repeating sound, I would suggest disabling your sound within ET (or disabling sound entirely through the device manager) before joining a server to see if that helps.
