W:ET on OSX Lion - No 'Wolfenstein ET' folder in /Application Support/

Hi all,

Yes I am one of those guys that play games on a Mac

After 4 years, I installed RTCW ET again (very nostalgic about it) but I have a question/problem.
I did the installation as it was prescribed (copy folder to applications, install pb, etc.) but I can’t find my .pk3’s anywhere…

I’ve been playing on a silEnT-mod server (I think) and I’ve downloaded several maps, but I can’t locate them on my hard drive. I’ve read they should be in Library/Application Support/Wolfenstein ET … but this last folder was never created. Even when I search with Spotlight I can’t find them. They must be saved somewhere …

In attempt to solve this, I created a ‘Wolfenstein ET’ folder myself in Application Support (as it should have been done in the first place, at least, that is what I read) … but nothing happens in there. Did something go wrong during installation or is this a common error for mac users? Do I have to reinstall?

Help would be appreciated since this is the only game I care to play. Thanks in advance.

ps: I’m running OSX Lion 10.7.4 on a 2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro Mid 2009.

Found the solution myself on another forum:

“in Lion the user library folder is hidden by default. It should be accessible by clicking on the Go menu (while you are in the Finder) and then holding down the alt key.”
