W:ET non-standard characters linux

I have tried searching but have not found anything, possibly because i don’t know how to search for it.
In W:ET i am unable to write the letters “ö ä ü õ” for some reason(just doesn’t react to them). I am using ubuntu 8.04 but had the same problem in 7.10

I dont think thats possible also not on windows, I have some estonian friends and in their language they sometimes need those letters, but they use different ones instead like “@”

it is possible with windows, with etpro at least, oh well.

ET-Pro yes (mod specific).
But not with stock W:ET or (as far as I know) with other mods.

the mod needs the ASCII-code … its only in etpro included
