W:ET Communities - The Future?

Am I the only one that has noticed that the W:ET People seems to have given up?

and it goes for all the sites i usually visits, Splatterladder, Trackbase, Splashdamage, crossfire and several Clanforums

The posts has stopped coming, sometimes there can go days between a single post :frowning:

I dont blame anyone, as I assume all can be feed up and say feck it enuff is enuff

People gets tired of strugling to keep stuff running and especially if the stuff aint used like servers, forums etc

I was out over a year ago and suggest community or clanleaders should start talking about making a large community togehter, reduce the numbers of servers, and go away from clanservers and run some community servers togehter, none seemed to like the idea, even tho there could be money saved and an almost certain guarantee you would play against humans.

But now over a year after, il try bring it up again

the last year year ive seen lots of clan give up, and then they completely disapeared from WET,

Why not think different?, its now where we still have some active ppl in our clans that we should discuss maybe even do this, when our ppl gets fed up with playing against bots on empty servers or visit some of the relatively few busy servers, theyll be lost from our clans but more important from our game

Idc about who is in charge and stuff like that, i wanna play on decent servers with humans and have fun. i havent found any servers to my complete liking tbh

I am all ears if anyone has ideas or suggestions.

What can be done to prevent the slowly dying of WET?

We had this on 2007. The clan was made out of 3s and had one public and one match server. Some played matches some public and we had 50 ppl and everything worked well.
It somehow splitted again and many left or gone to other clans so the clan was lost.

I agree with this idea but I think itā€™s hard to find clans that are willing to give up there clan and make a new bigger one.

If you look at Trackbase (im not sure about Splatterladder) they have it so you can make a clan site and then make squads, that could easily be changed to a community site and clans added as squads, that way all could keep their tags, even tho it works as we big clan

Leaders of each clan could be members of a board that controlled the community.

i think its at the moment not the question who is the sponsor (google qube and you will understand some facts).
There is the real seen problem that more and more ā€œoldā€ Gamers left ET ā€¦some new comes but not a big bunch of them.
Ya, et is dying if every clan dont give up his ā€œabsoluteā€ might and is willing to get into a (very) big ET-Communityā€¦ !!!
Yes its aslo true that at some old-builder-forums or support-forums is the possibillity to get with Clan-Tag into a bigger community.
But - on the other side - the Clan-wars is a fake, mostly they play 1 on 1 or 3 vs 3 or 4,5,6, vs 4,5,6, tournaments -> only for their ā€œClan-Statsā€ā€¦
If you watch a bit loger the scrim ladders at ettv or other, you will agree that in real is ET dying, as Patriot said.
I drive 8 servers - clan-free and free of a member-fee -> only to save ET alive and open for new gamers and not as Clans who need money and asslicking that new players can join themā€¦
I play since 2004 and have see many clans, was a member in 3 clans and at the end i see: a clanleader - earlier or later will come to a dictator who will see that HIS rules was followedā€¦why not.
So the question: how is the way to bring some ā€œClan-Leadersā€ to that point, that they will be a Leader into a group of the (mostly) whole ET-Szene and every Leader have a vote if there some to do or change etc etc etc ā€¦
Do you think any Leader will step back to a ā€œAdminā€ level and must hear to others when they say we want have - for example - a new structure of Forum, servers etc etc ?
No one will follow you !
So is the idea of Pat right but here - in fact - more Leaders who think: you can die and your members comes to us, if they leave you, or you the Szeneā€¦

Is there a place where Clan-leaders can talk about it in private ?
Are some willing in to make a Test if it work ?

I really hope it and from my side - all clean players welcome and i have ever open ears to save ET alive.
Sry if it sounds a bit harsh but i see it since 2009 that ET and his players dies / new games and bad Adminsā€¦not all but blck sheeps in every bounch :slight_smile:
