vista/ nvidia geforce 4/ enemy territory

I’m running vistas trying to get ET to work. Nvida won’t support or make drivers that are compadible for my gefoce4 mx and vistas. Am I screwed? this is the error msg…

If nvidia is not providing the drivers for your card with vista, you’re pretty much out of luck. That card is quite old. You might think about upgrading to even a cheap card, it still would outperform what you have and it’ll get you support.

that card won’t run QW on any OS

but it should be able to handle W:ET as that’s what the error msg indicates is being run :wink:

seriously, running a gf4, especially an mx flavoured one on vista? :roll:

yeah figured… I’ve even tryed installing linuxs on a second hard drive to play et. it’s been five years time for an up grade. Should i stick with nvidia? over all I’ve heard they have better support than others but this dosen’t prove it.

NVidia’s linux drivers are great. You can’t gauge support based on a card that’s 5 years old.

afaik, these are the latest drivers, they’re for XP/2000 but may work
