Wasn’t the M16a2 being used in Vietnam?
If the M4 will stay in the game, not only the grip has to be changed, the barrel and muzzle seem little unrealistic :slight_smile:

Could suggest looking over ETPro tho for some fixes and handy additions to the current ET Source release.

Looking good.

There’s one thing that looks a bit wrong though, and that is how the player holds the gun. Especially his left arm seems stretched out instead of slightly bendt and also gets the feeling that he holds it to far away from the body. Making the gun seem small somehow. I would suggest moving it back abit and bend the left arm.

Will the Helicopter in the movie move a la the Airship in Airfield Assault?

Lanz - Thanks, I knew that would raise some concerns. I’ve fixed the arm by moving it back some, no worries.

fattakin - Maps are coming along fine, though we are looking for mappers. So if you know any with experience, send them my way. :wink:

Also, I’ve been toying with the idea of having the M79 grenade launcher as a secondary weapon to the M2 Carbine. So, when you choose the M2 you can right click to bring up the M79. Well, here, have a look at this short video and you’ll see what I mean…

Hmm, I think it would be better to make ā€œseperateā€ weapons.
Just add the grenade launcher as new weapon.
And the player has to change weapons tu use them.

I don’t know very much about weapons.
But I think there has been a grenade launcher for the M-16.

ya, it’s the m203 grenade launcher and makes it look really mean with it on :), it’s then called the m16-m203. Would be quite cool actually it’ll kinda be like the grenade launchers on the m1’s and k43’s in ET and probably make many people happy.

Those are all M-16 A2’s though and I’m pretty sure they used the A1 in vietnam which more or less looked like this:

Interesting, I didn’t know they used them in Vietnam. That last pic sure looks like it though. If so, I think that would be better than the m2/m79 combo, for sure.

Good, call, it’s a bit too short at the end for an M-16, I just seached google for m16 grenade launcher and didn’t feel the need to second guess the pics. Still gets the point accross though.

some good progress :slight_smile: but the textuers are very bright :eek: , did you do a light compile? i guess you did but try reducing the saturation of the foliage. the grass could use a little work. perhaps have some bits shorter and bendier than others, it looks too uniform atm. i like the palm plant models tho

Most of your textures are still pretty oversaturated, gives everything this ā€œplasticā€ look. Considerung that your screenshots don’t have any kind of lighting some of those textures are way to dark too. And please, if you post screenshots at least do post screenshots with lighting :slight_smile: Fullbright map screenshots always look like poo compared to the final results, it won’t do it any justice :slight_smile:
