Video issues

Recently installed ET on my machine.
XP pro
GForce 2 Pro (DDR)

At the menu screen I get a scrolling flash at the bottom half of the screen (orange black and tan)
in the game I get the same type of rolling flash but it is the base color of whatever the ground is.

changed resolutions and color depth
no change

Tried installing detonator 44.03 (or whatever the latest version is)
nothing

tried uninstalling, clearing the ET folder, rebooting, reinstalling
no fix.
am I the only one having the issue?
(Yes I did a search on the board, and I did not see any other posts like this.)

try setting “Buffer-Flipping Mode” on your video card drivers to diferent settings (like Use Block Transfer). If this doesn’t work you can always set it back.

To get there:
go to Display Properties (Right Click the desktop, click properties)
click settings tab, then the advanced button.
click the nvidia tab.
you should find it within “OpenGL Settings”

Just kidding,
back when i had a GeForce 256, i couldn’t update my drivers. Imediatly after upgrade i noticed problems with ALL my OpenGL based games. So I started looking for nvidia + opengl problems, and started playing with the driver settings on the OpenGL tab.
And know we have results… :banana:
