Trying a new experiment and would like to know if there is a program you folks could suggest for vid capture off the monitor. I tried camtasia trial version but they have a banner across the finished product. Looking to NOT spend a ton of money here (freeware if possible).
Any suggestions??

If you mean with regard to making a video of a game of ET or whatever, there’s stuff you can do built in when replaying demos, and a source of advanced help at www.shaolinproductions.org

Yeah i am refering to making a video but out of a bunch of different vids form the game and want to be able to add some effects.(i know this is asking a lot of some freeware 
) I have used the game functions as far as they can take me.
I went to shaolin products though…I think the capture device they suggest might help. I am going to use that for now and see how it works out. I will let you know.

If your doing a basic video just use virtual dub. You can add effects, use different codecs for your compression and best of all it’s free \o/
