I would love someone to help me work out the fps issues. I have tried everything and have been researching on ways to improve performance. So as of right now we need DEV support, but its the weekend. gg
Most problems are caused by ATI cards, so please don’t throw a fit right now, it wouldn’t help you at all if they threw out a quick patch that does more harm than help. Play some other game until this is patched and then come back and enjoy BRINK. Because once you get it running it’s a great game. Sure it sucks that it has terrible performance issues with most ATI cards, but crying about it everyday won’t help you.

I get 4fps on normal campaign maps,30 on challenge,lowest settings possible on 800x500 res.So if you feel that 30fps is small number,seriously,get a ****ing life and think.This isnt an issue as 30fps is reasonably playable.
And yes, I specifically set the resolution that low, I get highest possible FPS that way,although singleplayer/MP is still unplayable.Usual fps on challenge maps like Be objective is about 15.Running this on Nvidia 8500 GT with a 2.6GHz single core processor.

Considering my PC isn’t out of date, I’d dare say nuts to you lad.
Im running easily Crysis,Dead Space 1-2,UE3 games,the list can go on and on.But somehow,this one game that allows me to run it,has unoptimised entirely maps/etc.This is an obvious error on the developers side.

4 FPS may be a bit steep, but you shouldn’t expect miracles from your rig Greer. There’s probably some optimizing of the game required to speed things up a bit, but that PC of yours will never run this game very well. I’m sorry to say, but I honestly don’t believe you’re playing Crysis on a high framerate with a resolution higher than my phone’s…
Actually I ran it on higher res,thankfully.Its just Brink on low one.Trying this out in multiplayer seems to give alot more FPS,although,the “FPS” counter is a fake **** from what I can see, as it shows about 4 fps whereas my picture is around…well,15-20fps,approx.OP should try running multiplayer and seeing how that goes.
Now the only thing that bothers me is the game trying to access particles(which are turned off)from another thread,which is nonexistent.
If i have to wait 2-6 weeks,seriously,F.U.C.K this game.
I want that fixed in 2 days or something.They knew about the problems,now they have less time to fix it till people get really mad.
If they would have pushed the game out a week late no one would have had these issues cause they would have been fixed eventually. -.-

ATI Catalyst Hotfix 11.5a makes my Brink not start at all.
I get the black brink screen then it crashes back to desktop without saying anything.
This hotfix driver is complete bull****.It solves the problem for some but not the majority. -.-

This game is a POS performance wise. and SD doesnt want to say anything about it because well they dont care. The minimum requirements are a joke and are misleading.
Gawd damn you SD. I never expected something like that.
Luckily, I haven’t bought this game, but I do have to work with it professionally, and at the current state of thing this is a chore. Low res, low settings, windowed and Brink still gives me crap performance. How I am supposed to make decent screenies and movies, when I can barely play it without fraps hogging on resources 
I’m soooo disappointed.

Just don’t tell me my PC is inadequate. I play Quake Wars / Crysis Wars pretty much maxed out without a problem. I almost fell of my chair when I first saw my framerate in Brink. ATI hotfix did nothing for me and lowering settings all the way down had minimal impact. Maybe the next ATI drivers will make it more playable, but so what? I only have two weeks to finish my assignment Don’t tell me that noone tested this game on ATi cards BEFORE launch… D’oh!
