I know it’s not the best rig, but running this on 17-30 FPS… really? I just payed 56$ for this and it’s unplayable.
Are you guys releasing some sort of fix anytime soon? Very frustrating had high hopes for Brink.

Sorry but your specs are below the real mininum requirements. the ones they posted are complete joke and are misleading. i am in the same boat, just about the same comp specs. we just got taken by SD and now they are enjoying their weekend. but hey we will get Free DLC to play on our 30 fps refuel map with no sound, keep your chin up.

I think it’s more about the ATI performance issues than about your processor. What are the real requirements? Is the Athlon 7850@2,8GHz worse than a C2D@2,4GHz?

based on my research i should be able to run this game just fine … but after various fixes and hops and jump i went trhough to get it to work properly i found my self geting 9 fps the highest 10 … im a sad panda and want my brink to work like everyone elses lol… but rome was not build in one day

I don’t think its the ATI card. I’m also getting between 17 and 28 FPS (with occasional spikes in hallways etc. to ~60 FPS). And I have an NVIDIA GTX 480. I swear it was doing better yesterday!

I love the game when it’s running smooth… but had to rage quit after an hour of trying to find the magic c_var to make things run smoothly again.

Seeing how SD cant even keep their website up (high traffic errors all the time) I dont think you or myself for that matter will be able to play at a decent fps tick. They mislead us on minimum requirements so we are just out of luck.

You could wait for the Catalyst 11.6. AMD want to improve Brink performance and add crossfire support… but 11.6 will be released in 2-6 weeks

These issues are nothing new to SD. they know the state of the game better than anyone. They could have found these issues just by loading the game on any number of ATI/AMD systems. Yet they decided to release early and then take the weekend off.

I play this game on Low (reduced it with the BrinkConfig tool) with average 25-50 FPS (and it feels like this). It will be better with 11.6.

My Rig:
Intel C2D E8400 @3Ghz
4GB RAM
2x Sapphire HD4850 (but Brink only use 1)
