VALID CDKEY IS NOT REACHING GUIDAUTH SERVER

Hey eveyone, just down loaded WOLF ET yesterday and have downloaded patch 1.02 (twice now ) and played once this morning.

The Bang cant reconnect when logged in tonight because of this blooming message keep popping up.

Can some one advise me please what I need to do. Got this advice at SWAT-CLAN :

[u][i] Disable and enable Punkbuster, either in the menu or take down the console and type: c :banghead: l_punkbuster 0, restart ET, take down console again and type: cl_punkbuster 1. Punkbuster should have generated a new key for you now!

this was a fix when that problem first started . its been a long while since ive seen someone have this problem though"[/i][/u]

Your help … any help on this would be really great.

Love the new Wolfstein ET… cant wait to play again.

Find your ET directory…

Normally “C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein Enemy Territory/etmain/”

And delete the file etkey.<whatever it is>. Not to sure, might be another in /etpro/ or /shrubet/ if you have it… youll need to look.

Once you next load up ET it should make a new one for you. If it still persists just try and click reconnect two or three time each time it pops up… I get every so often too…

Further more PB can force a new GUID by using /pb_Cdkeyreg (i think, do /pb_cdkey <press tab to see>). Then again, /reconnect and it should work.

also if you always get this every 3-4th time you start up et do what I did and open notepad enter

del “C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\etkey”

then save as et.bat to desktop then when you need to get a new guid just double click that bat file and open ET

Yeh, Fusen gets banned that often for his hax he just generates a new GUID each time he opens ET… :confused:

Actually tho, good idea m8… like yourself, I seem to get it every 5/6th time, also seems to love dumping me with a ‘Server for low Pings only’ even tho it pings 20/30 in ASE. :slight_smile:
