When I want to join a server, I often get the message that the
“Valid Cdkey is not reaching GuidAuthech-Server” . :???:
And after that, I just can’t get in that server, so I have to find new ones, which often give me the same message.
This is happening since a few months, but only recently it’s really frequently, like one out of every two servers or even more 
I’ve done a reinstall and I’ve patched with v1.02, what more is there that I can do?

try running “pbweb.exe”
It’s most likely this in folder:
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\pb
This program basically updates PB manually. When you execute this program, a DOS (or Command Prompt if you prefer that term) thing will pop up and begin downloading some stuff. It takes about 5 mins to complete, so don’t panic.
I had your problem too, but after running pbweb, I didn’t get them no more.

Thanks, I’ve done that but I still get that message from time to time. :blah:
And I’ve also noticed that ET is crashing a lot since I updated, but I’ve read here that that’s supposed to be normal :???:
But I have a question: which console do you mean? The same that starts up when you run pbweb.exe? :???: Because that’s the only thing I haven’t tried yet.
I’ve seen the message myself, but not more then 2 times and both times a restart of the computer has worked (restarting ET has not), so I can’t really say that consists of very much troubleshooting but at least I know there was no updating of PB files involved either automatically or via Pbweb. 
You can get this if you don’t have any connection with pbguidauth.idsoftware.com (192.246.40.62).
Try pinging the hostname in a command prompt. If it doesn’t resolve to the IP above your problem can probably be solved simply by changing DNS or adding an entry to your HOSTS file.
c:\> ping pbguidauth.idsoftware.com
I’ve tried to do that and I get this:
Packages: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0.
Average responsetime: 260ms
So that’s not the problem
