I asked myself this question for a very long time, maybe you can help me to solve this.
Why do people use the defibrillator to capture spawns?
Do you capture it faster? Do you get a special award? Is it a profi trick? What is it??

It’s usually because they’ve just revived someone, and when you’re capping a spawn with defibs it does the revive thing. Nothing special about it.
I Capture the spawn, I’m afraid: what if they kill me from behind! The heart beats and I, in order to avoid a heart attack start to use the defibrillator!
This might be the right explanation! I always thought ppl were doing it because they’re having a good time capping the spawn so they do random bullsh!t while doing it.
i do it not always but when i have the defi in the hand i hum for myself the zap zap zape song
i think it’s cos both things are behind the “F” key… and when you have the defibs in hand you just zapp the spawn like they do it on E-R.
No but seriously it’s because what lausl said… ZAAB!!! ZAAB!!! ZABE!!!
i supose it is because one of the medic upgrades (third or fourth, not sure). also not sure how it works in etqw, so i will explain how it worked in previous et (because i supose it is similar)
when medics got 4th medic upgrade they were rewarded with a adrenalyn seringe. using it, would provide infinite stamina and taking only half damage for 10 seconds.
in etqw i know it is used with the defibrilator and alt attack (but i am not sure about the effect).
Its because they are trying to make comm post come to life, get a weapon, and help on enemy combat.
You can do that trick also on walls, rocks and mountains*.
