I saw a server testing that version number today. It wouldn’t let me join of course, so there must be some coinciding client patch.
there better be. if it takes 3 hours for a server side patch, there’s a bigger issue. also, not to be a salty old man (but i am so here goes) but i cringe every single time a nexon lackey posts about an update. it just feels very disingenuous to me. i really dont care about anything nexon has to say as they really have nothing to do with development and are doing the bidding of people above them… i dont know… that sounded really salty just to read back to myself LOL
Just a few thoughts about this update. I like the changes to Arty’s artillery so you can do faster arty and spread it around a bit more. I also like the change to make the sticky bombs have to be detonated because otherwise it was a bit too easy to cover and area and forget about it.
I tried the heavy and he definitely had his moments, but for a skilled player (most of the guys in the beta) he didn’t really pose a problem because he is so inaccurate at range. His minigun looks and sounds great and the radial shaking effect is fantastic, but I think he needs something more to be considered a threat. He moves so slowly when firing or spinning up that he makes and extremely easy target. Does crouching increase or at least maintain spread values more than standing for that guy?
The new sounds are much improved from the old ones as they sound a little more beefy. Also appreciated are the sounds that come from the deployables so you know when you are near them as well as the ability sounds. These audio cues are much better than just more HUD visual cues on the screen when you’re mostly trying to stay focused on the enemy and shooting.
The graphics are looking more polished with every update for sure. The framerate does seem to get worse though with every update. Something really feels less smooth this update. I tried turning off vsync again and the single frame thing, but it didn’t change much. Maybe I can tweak a few settings to make that better, or there’s something SD can do for optimization. I have to say I’m NOT liking most of the map changes. I really miss the full Camden with the delivery and bomb plant instead of the short one with two objectives (Trainyard?). I don’t miss the skipped hack on Waterloo however. It feels to me less like the maps are changing and more like they are being hacked apart and chopped down. It might be because I’m used to the old ones -it’s hard to say. I know that’s a WIP, so I’ll see how they change as time goes on.
Anyhow, I always feel like I need to spend more time with the characters before stating my opinions, but I don’t want to end up saying nothing for fear that I’m not an expert. I read a lot of negative things, but there are also quite a few positive things to be said as well about the game. It’s quite a bit of fun and I’m sure things will improve.
-I know a few people like the new sounds, but something feels a bit off for me.
-Have only tried fops2’s rifle in an empty server so far, but its looking decent.
Spread might be a bit too high, but I will make sure to try it out in a proper game to verify.
Hopefully dueling faster rof isnt an issue.
-The new heavy’s spinup gun takes an eternity to reach the shoot/spin threshold.
Theres no momentum on the spin, allowing players to spin then move and then immediately burst.
It resets the time it takes to get to the threshold instead of decaying.
Also the movement penalty basically ensures hes only viable for defensive chokepoints where he doesnt need to move.
As a result, he can be easily countered.

I don’t think all the audio is completely done yet. I know stoker, fops3, sounds great. As does sawbonez medic 2 SMG. On the other hand, the m4a1 skyhammer fops1 gets audio does sound off.
About the spinup, I think it is fine cause while spinning up you’re basically stuck in ADS movement speed making them kinda easy to line a headshot up against. On the other hand, if he is spamming crouch it kinda gets messy. Its not completely terrible at range. Should always be doubled with someone though. I don’t think he should be so independent though and should have an even slower health regen without med packs.

the loop is away :),that increase the fun alot.
but the last stage is still not rly perfect.
the problem is that the container is way to close. . for me it must move somewhere closer to defenders spawn.
so you can build up an defense there.
i would prefer to move the container into the big underground carpark near to defnders spawn. it is closer and full of cover for the defenders.
at the same time its not unfair,because its also closer for attackers and have 3 entrances.
Yea, shortly until it was disallowed in 5x5 etpro.
Which is kind of ironic.
Its actually more powerful in 6v6 vehicle rulesets, than it is 5v5 inf.

Yes, there are definitely some sounds that are actually quite decent.
But there are others (that seem finished) that aren’t quite as good like sawbonez.
Just played the new patch with people and it was garbage. Utter Garbage. Not going to play again until next patch. Game play is going backwards… Rubber Bullets, Rubber-Banding, Lag, Off hit reg, mouse lag. This is not a FPS…

So … I have more and more trouble to play Extraction … the game feel empty (not in term of ppl but in term of possibilities, but yes pub is dead as a roasted chicken)
You get bored so quick … always doing the same thing over and over … in the same tiny corridors.

I think I’m like a lot of people here, I don’t believe anymore in this game, lot of old founders just came for the new patch and say “this game is still crap !” and leave the game once again, and sorry but I can only say yes. Since 10 month I try to keep some hopes and play almost every day, and trying to give some feedback. But now I don’t have any motivation to play … I really don’t like your maps, the agnostic objectives, and objectives design are horrible. This is for me the 3 biggest fails of this game. But you stick with it, so be it …
Waiting for some real improvement cause I’m really bored of this tiny crappy maps ! and the new versions are not better ! Just even more tiny, without any side obj with a real meaning.
I’m still playing a bit, with friends but I’m Just bored like the hundreds of beta invites who already stop playing this game …
I’m leaving this forum (and nexon forum) for the moment, I have nothing more to say … another deception

I tried the new patch 2 days ago… still nothing about movement… I am now forced to use iron sight at long range if I want to hit something and it’s even ultra efficient at mid range due to the horrible spread weapons have… There is still no one playing this game… The new character is slow as f… Still not able to sprint while I am reloading… maps are still boring… Learning curve is still near to non existent if you know how to aim…
This game has potential but a lot of required stuff isn’t here. It’s a pity.
